Base Class: Rogue
You're skilled in the art of reconnaissance; knowing where to look for information, and how to use it to exploit the weaknesses of your enemies. Your unwavering ability to find the truth affords you the ability to come into any situation with the upper hand, working from the shadows and slipping past without anyone knowing you were there. And if by some miracle they finally do, you're already long gone.
Cryptic Interface
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you can manifest an interface to record your findings. As an action, you can create a number of translucent, glowing images equal to your intelligence modifier that hover around you, known as your interface. Only you can physically interact with the interface and move it, everything else passes through it. Whilst your interface is manifested, you can write, draw and erase anything in it as if it were a mundane book just by interacting with it using your fingers; anything you've written or drawn in the interface is stored.
You can use a bonus action whilst your interface is active to make sounds for as long as you like; which can be your voice, someone else's voice, a lion's roar, a beating of drums, or any other sound you choose; the sound can be heard up to 10 feet away. As a bonus action, you can amplify the glowing light of the interface and cause it to shed bright light in a 5-foot radius and dim light for an additional 5 feet. When you dismiss the interface as an action, anything that requires your interface to be active is dismissed along with it.
Some features of this subclass store different types of files in your interface. You can have a number of files stored in your interface equal to your level in this class, and can forget any number of them (no action required). If you attempt to store an additional file when you have reached your maximum, you fail. At 20th level, the amount of files you can store doubles.
Hacks
At 3rd level, you learn how to harness energy to manipulate your environment and people to your advantage; known as hacks. Creatures that cannot see you are unable to detect your hacks or that you were the cause of them.
Hacks. You can choose two of the hacks below to add at 3rd level, and you gain one more when you reach 9th, 13th and 17th level. When you gain a level, you can replace one hack you know with another of your choice.
Saving Throws. Some hacks require a saving throw to resist their effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:
Hack save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your intelligence modifier
Backdoor
As a bonus action, you can create a glowing mark within 30 feet. The mark lasts for one hour, until you create another mark or until you move more than 100 feet away from it, at which point it disappears. When you create it, or as a bonus action on a subsequent turn, you can teleport to it which consumes the mark. If you would arrive in a place already occupied by an object or a creature, you are pushed to the nearest unoccupied space and take 1d6 force damage for every 5ft you are displaced.
You can teleport to the mark as a reaction to taking damage, avoiding it entirely. Once you use this reaction, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Cloak
When out of combat, you can use an action force a target you can see within 60 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw against your Hack DC. On a failure, they are blinded and deafened to the presence of a number of creatures of your choice equal to your intelligence modifier. This effect ends on a target after one hour, if it takes any damage or if you attack it. If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to hack it, but is immune to this hack for 24 hours.
Data Broker
When you have observed a creature, object, or location for at least one minute out of combat, you can make an Intelligence check; you can make this check with advantage if you are familiar with them. Based on the result, the DM may reveal obscure information, often leaning towards the more secretive aspects of their past, or hinting towards rumours about them. This feature has no effect on creatures, objects, or locations that have no reasonable history to glean from (per the DM's discretion). The target of this feature can only be targeted by it once per long rest, and future attempts before you take a long rest reveal no further details.
Encrypt
When touching a document or file for at least one minute, you can alter the content within as if you were rewriting it. If more than one page is being altered, you must touch the document or file for an extra minute per page. You make an Intelligence check adding your proficiency with forgery kits or a relevant tool (your choice), which determines the DC for someone else's Intelligence (Investigation) check to realise the document or file has been altered.
Glitch
When you hit with an attack, you can forgo your Sneak Attack damage for that turn to force the target to make a Wisdom saving throw against your Hack DC. On failure, they are stunned until the end of your next turn. Constructs, summoned and magically created creatures have disadvantage on the saving throw. You can do this a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier per long rest.
Malweave
As an action, you can target an object or a magical effect within 60 feet. If the target is an object and not an artifact, its magical properties and any spells or magical effects affecting it are suppressed for one minute. If the target is a magical effect, it is dispelled. You can do this a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier per long rest.
Smartweave
You can interact with and use objects you can see that are up to 60 feet away from you; such as manipulating a tool, opening a door or a container, stowing or retrieving an item from an open container, or pouring the contents from a vial. When interacting with an object you aren't touching, you can move it if it's no more than 10 pounds and is not being held or worn by another creature. If an object you interact with is a light source, such as a torch or candle, you can instantaneously light or snuff it out.
Spyweave
If you spend ten minutes focusing on an object or surface within 60 feet, you can create a glowing mark that can only be seen by you and creatures that can see invisible objects. This mark stores a file that records sight and sound from its position using your senses, just like the recordings from your Mnemonic Recording feature. This file records from the moment the mark is created, and until you dismiss that mark as an action or it is dispelled. You can have a number of marks equal to your intelligence modifier, and can destroy any number of them (no action required); if you attempt to create another one when you have reached your maximum, you fail.
Whilst your interface is active and as long as you and a mark are on the same plane of existence, you can view and interact with a mark's file just as you could with the recording files from your Mnemonic Recording feature, and can store one hour of the footage in your interface as a file as an action. You can view what the mark is currently perceiving or anything it has recorded in the past; when you are viewing the current perspective of one of these marks, you can speak through it as an action. When you speak through it, you can additionally manifest one of your interface's images at the mark's location, which contains a projection of you and your current location.
Virus
As an action, you can infect an object within 60 feet with a virus. The next time someone other than you and creatures you choose interacts with that object, they must succeed a Constitution saving throw against your Hack DC or be stunned until the end of your next turn. The virus on the object lasts for one hour, or until a creature fails the saving throw against it. You can do this a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier per long rest.
Mnemonic Document
At 3rd level, you've developed an efficiency at memorising information, and can even materialise it to view later. When touching a document (such as a book, scroll, map, contract or similar object) for 1 minute, you may store a copy of it in your interface. This copy is a type of file you store in your interface and storing it does not immediately grant you knowledge of its contents. The file is just a nonmagical imitation of the original so you cannot cast spells or use features that the original document contains; however, if someone (including you) had the ability to copy spells into their spellbook, they can copy any spell contained in your files.
Whilst your interface is active, you can view any document that you have stored in your interface from one of its images for as long as you'd like (no action required). When you are viewing a document, the image it's being viewed from can be treated like a physical object by others, and it can be read at three times the normal speed. The image reappears around you when it's more than 5 feet away from you for more than an hour.
Mnemonic Recording
At 9th level, you can perfectly capture your senses and replay them for analysis. As a bonus action, you can record your senses for up to one hour; you can choose to record your sight, sound or both when you start to record and you can stop recording your senses at any time within the hour (no action required). This recording is a type of file you store in your interface.
Whilst your interface is active, you can view any part of a recording that you have stored in your interface from one of its images for as long as you'd like (no action required), which perfectly replicates any of the sights and/or sounds that the recording contains. When you are viewing a recording, you can use an action to make the image it's being viewed from be projected up to 60 feet away as a 5 foot by 5 foot translucent, glowing square and be made audible up to 60 feet away. The image reappears around you when it's more than 5 feet away from you for more than an hour.
Decryption
At 13th level, the truth perseveres when you review your findings. When you view a file, you can choose to decrypt it as an action; it is now treated as if you had truesight up to 120 feet when you stored it in your interface. For example, if a document was under the effect of illusory script, you can decrypt it to read the hidden message; if you encountered illusions throughout a recording, you could decrypt it to reveal them, etc. Once a file is decrypted, it remains so permanently. You can do this a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier per long rest.
Also you can comprehend any language that was written or spoken within your files that you couldn't already understand. As an action, you can share this ability with a number of creatures equal to your intelligence modifier at a time.
Ghost in the Shell
At 17th level, you're a master of reconnaissance. Unless you are willing, you can’t be affected by divination magic or perceived through magical scrying sensors, and creatures do not benefit from special senses they would rely on when attempting to detect you, such as with truesight or tremorsense. Once per long rest, you can grant this to a number of creatures equal to your intelligence modifier for an hour as an action.
