Base Class: Fighter
Some fighters find themselves absorbed by the rhythm of battle -- combat maneuvers begin to resemble an elegant dance of flashing steel. Bladedancer fighters shed their heavy armor and weaponry in favor of flexibility and ease of movement, evading and counterattacking rather than enduring blows.
Unarmored Defense
Starting from 3rd level, when you select this archetype and are not wearing armor or wielding a weapon with the Heavy property your AC equals 10 + Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier. You can use a shield and still gain this benefit.
Additional Proficiencies
Additionally at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Charisma (Performance) checks and Charisma saving throws.
Elegant Parry
Starting at 7th level, your elegant movements allow you to find openings in the defenses of attackers. When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to break their stance granting melee attacks against that creature advantage until the start of their next turn.
Dance to the Beat of War
From 10th level, you’ve mastered the skill of integrating your beautiful performance with your combat prowess, allowing you to add your Charisma modifier to damage from melee attacks you make.
Deadly Riposte
At 15th level, you are able to take advantage of your controlled movements to find openings for attacks. When you use your Elegant Parry on a creature you can also make a weapon attack on that creature with advantage. Successful weapon attacks made this way are critical hits.
Rapid Tempo
Starting at 18th level, when you hit with consecutive attacks against a single creature, as a bonus action you can make a Charisma (Performance) check contested by that creature’s Wisdom (Insight) check. If you succeed on the check, the creature is caught in the bewildering tempo of your strikes and becomes stunned until the start of their next turn.
