These arcane crafters often work with the more sinful, unwanted and sometimes malicious parts of themselves to make minions, pets and friends. Often forsaken by people in society for so called 'unnatural' craft, these scientists and experimenters bring strange life and often weapons.

Often these people have long past monstrous heritage or encounters with the strange. Some might have been experimented on by organisations in wars gone by or found strange unnatural genes hidden for millennia awoken. 

Legend of the alien

You gain the ability to enter the mind of 5 aberrations bellow challenge rating 4 2 times per long rest and they each must succeed on a saving throw equal to your spell save DC, on a fail the creature/s is/are ruled by you for 5 minutes or until they succeed on a saving through at the start of their next turn. You also gain the ability to transform into an aberration of challenge rating 6 or lower for one hour.

Aberrations Psychology

You act slightly alien, distant, disconnected and generally quite odd. Your exposure to aberrations has left you resistant to psychic damage.

Monstrous skin

You have a layer of protection over your skin, be it slime, scales or membrane, raising you AC by 1 against non magical attacks.

Peculiar Servants

Every short rest, you gain access to a group of minions of the aberration creature type, beneath challenge rating 2, equal to your proficiency bonus. The maximum challenge rating increases first at level 12(4) then at level 18(5)

Mutation's rays

Twice per long rest you can enhance one of the mutated aspects to your form and develop the ability to produce rays reminiscent of a beholder's. You can choose from:

  • ray of health (you can choose 3 creatures in a and they regain 1/10 of their hit points)
  • ray of damage (all attacks gain 2d8 of one damage of your choice for for your next 3 turns, you can choose 2 creatures to get this benefit)
  • ray of conditions (2 enemies you choose suffer from a condition of your choice, immunity still implies, on levelled affects they gain 2 levels)
  • ray of resistance (you and two other creatures of you choice gain resistance to one damage type and one condition affect)

all the rays have a range of 20ft in a cone and using this ability takes 1 action
