Monk
Base Class: Monk

True balance is the Way of the Great Elk. These monks seek ultimate harmony through physical conditioning and communing with nature in order to understand balance. This is a path of peace and of conflict, but mostly of truth. Monks of this tradition are expected to go through the world without fear or bias. These monks are equally likely to be found feeding the poor, teaching the natural law to anyone who will listen, or avenging a violation to the natural balance.

Way of the Great Elk monks see the material world as transitory and thus only maintain possessions that are necessary to sustain themselves. They also seek to avoid emotional attachments such as greed, anger, or pride as they are considered obstacles to enlightenment and understanding. Monks following the Way of the Great Elk are strict vegetarians and must maintain a true neutral alignment.

Tranquility

Beginning at 11th level, you can enter a special meditation that surrounds you with an aura of peace. At the end of a long rest, you gain the effect of a sanctuary spell that lasts until the start of your next long rest (the spell can end early as normal).
