Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

Wizards aren’t known for being the frontline in combat, rather they keep their distance and cast at their enemies. Some Wizards find themselves to be more capable of taking down their foes in close quarters, they focus their study on perfecting not only perfecting their magic, but their body as well. One Thadius Tillman, created this Arcane Tradition to rival the Order of Scribes Arcane Tradition which his fellow Sage, Sion had created. He chose to write on himself rather than on paper or in books. The arcane flowed through him allowing him to become physically stronger and faster. This Arcane Tradition is not for the faint of heart, it requires the wizard to endure incredible amounts of pain.

Trained Body

You now have proficiency with basic and martial weapons. You are proficient with the tools and processes of tattooing. When taking damage from an incoming attack, you may spend your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d4. Once per short rest, you can seal your wounds restoring 1d6 hit points as an action. This form of healing can restore the spells on your skin, restores lost spells that have levels adding up to the amount restored, and cantrips being zero.

Attuned Body

Throughout your time in studying, you learned to use your flesh as a spell book. Rather than owning a spell book, you store your spells on your body. Special inks used to write down spells must be tattooed or inked into your skin. You cannot lose your spells like you would lose a spell book. You can erase them by destroying the skin where the spell is located. Your body also becomes a focus in itself, you no longer require a spell casting focus, unless you choose to use one. You no longer require fine paper or materials to write down spells. When taking a physical injury that does knock you unconscious, it hits a tattoo on your body, causing you to lose a spell stored on your flesh.

(This can get technical with where the spells are stored, or your DM can randomly choose a spell that is lost. Semantic spells require your body to move, if you are restrained or are under a similar condition you might not cast some spells. Spells are not cast at will, unless they explicitly say so. It is recommended that if you wish to utilize areas of your skin that your hands cannot reach, have another character ink it for you, or use mage hand some aid to see what you are doing.)

Perfected Technique

You have an extra attack when taking the attack action.

When you cast a spell that makes a Melee Spell Attack or requires a melee attack to perform it, your crit numbers are both 19 and 20 (increased crit rate by 5%).

Flow with the Weave

You cannot trigger opportunity attacks on your turn if you’ve made a critical hit. Additionally when you critically strike a target, you may move outside of it’s melee range, if it has none you may move 5ft. instead.

You now roll double the dice for your Trained Body feature.

Your attacks now critically hit on 19 and 20.

Arcane Penance

When you would be knocked unconscious or go below 0 hit points, you can choose to stay conscious until the end of your next turn.

If you choose to use this ability, every time you are hit while at 0 hit points, or are brought to 0 hit points, two random spells are erased from your body. The burst of arcane power prevents the bite of death or the darkness that comes with being knocked out. If you have no spells left on your skin, you explode dealing five times your current level as force damage to anything within ten feet of you. You instantly die with this explosion, as the arcane powers of the Weave are freed from the twisted confines of your body.

When spells are erased from your skin in this manner, you can restore them using your Trained Body feature.
