Base Class: Fighter
As you build your Demon Slayer, remember that you need to have had a special kind of training to become one.
Demon Slayer Senses
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Perception, with advantage on checks relying on hearing, smell, touch or sight.
Total Concentration Breathing
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain access to Total Concentration Breathing.
Total Concentration Breathing (の Zen Shūchū no Kokyū), an advanced application of Breathing, is a state where a Breathing Style user inhales the maximum amount of oxygen within a specific breath pattern to raise their physical and mental prowess to their utmost limits. It is often used by Demon Slayers for a brief moment to temporarily boost their combat capabilities to prepare a decisive attack.
As a bonus action, a Demon Slayer can use the Total Concentration Breathing feature. Whilst maintaining concentration, a Demon Slayer gains the following benefits for up to 1 minute.
- Your speed increases by 10 feet while you are not wearing armor or wielding a shield.
- Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can make an additional attack as a bonus action.
- You gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your level + your Constitution modifier (minimum of 5) for the duration of your Breathing.
- You gain resistance to poison damage.
- You gain advantage on Wisdom perception checks.
- If you fall unconscious whilst using Total Concentration Breathing, you can use your reaction to make your concentration check with disadvantage. On a success, you remain conscious, but prone, with 1 hit point.
Breathing Style
Beginning at 3rd Level, you gain access to three Breathing Style Techniques.
Breathing Styles are swordsmanship forms practiced and taught by the Demon Slayer Corps. The Breathing Styles make use of specific and concentrated breath patterns, which increase the user's lung capacity and amount of oxygen in the blood. This increase of oxygen allows the user to enhance their physical abilities and mental concentration, allowing them to fight on par with Demons, whose physical prowess surpasses that of the average human.
All known Breathing Styles currently taught within the Demon Slayer Corps are derived from the Sun Breathing, the first one ever created.
When using one of the Breathing Style Techniques, a Demon Slayer may add their Wisdom modifier to their damage rolls, in addition to their dexterity modifier. The damage type relates to the Demon Slayer's chosen Breathing Style.
| BREATHING STYLE | DAMAGE TYPE |
|---|---|
| Flame | Fire |

Total Concentration: Constant (全ぜん集しゅう中ちゅう・常じょう中ちゅう Zen Shūchū Jōchū?) is a Total Concentration Breathing state during the morning, noon, and night, and even while asleep that Advanced Demon Slayers, such as Hashira, can constantly maintain. There is an immense difference in strength, speed, and stamina between someone who can maintain Total Concentration Breathing at all times and someone who cannot.
Learning to maintain a constant state of Total Concentration Breathing requires tremendous effort, though, the skill itself is noted to be quite elementary despite the required effort.
The training process involves blowing into a special type of super durable gourd. The objective is to blow into the gourd with enough strength to make the gourd break apart. As training progresses, the gourd is replaced by larger and larger variations of the same type of gourd. The largest known gourd is about the size of a chair.
