Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards from the College of Madness don't know much about anything but do know one thing: chaos. Driving people insane with their unpredictability and wit, the College of Madness is for any bard that wants allies, enemies, and themselves to be unsure of their next move.

Created by Rickus Bobbus when he came across a strange amulet giving him unpredictable powers, he decided to learn the ways of this device and share the chaotic nature of it with other like-minded spellcasters.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Madness at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with three skills of your choice.

Agent of Chaos

Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your wit to cause chaos. As a bonus action, you can expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration to unleash a surge of untamed magic, rolling on the Wild Magic Surge table for the effect.

If a Wild Magic effect is a spell, it's too wild to be affected by Metamagic. If it normally requires concentration, it doesn't require concentration in this case; the spell lasts for its full duration.

Additional Magical Secrets

At 6th level, you learn two spells of your choice from any class. A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Bard table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as bard spells for you but don’t count against the number of bard spells you know.

Peerless Skill

Starting at 14th level, when you make an ability check, you can expend one use of Bardic Inspiration. Roll a Bardic Inspiration die and add the number rolled to your ability check. You can choose to do so after you roll the die for the ability check, but before the DM tells you whether you succeed or fail.
