Base Class: Monk

As a student of the Elementus Soul you are tasked with learning how to manifest your Ki into different elements.

Elemental Essence

As you progress in your monk training, you'll gain access to different elemental abilities.

  • 3rd level: Blazing Bolt
  • 6th level: Ebb and Flow
  • 11th level: Indominable Soul of Stone
  • 17th level: Godly Gale of War

Trial by Fire

Being the second most difficult element to master, due to the need to manifest it out of pure ki, fire is the first element mastered by students of the Elementus Soul.

Trial by Water

The second trial is not a test of control of the element it self, but rather the essence of its movement and making use of it through combat.

Trial by Earth

The third trial is a test of ones ability to connect with nature and life itself. A challenge of the mind to preserve the body.

Trial by Air

The final trial is the most difficult, being mastered by few. Both a test of mind and body, it involves connecting and imbuing ones self with the essence of the unpredictable and powerful nature of air.

Blazing Bolt

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl searing bolts of magical fire.

You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is fire, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.

When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action.

When you gain the Extra Attack feature, this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.

Ebb and Flow

At 6th level, you are able to flow through combat like water. At the beginning of your turn, if you have not taken any damage since your last turn, you can spend 3 ki points to use Ebb and Flow. When Ebb and Flow is activated and you land all attacks you gain an additional two attacks.

In addition you may spend 2 more ki points for a total of 5 to gain additional strikes on any crit.

At the end of you're turn if all strikes land you automatically enter patient defense.

Can only use once per long rest.

Indominable Soul of Stone

At 11th level, you become one with earth beneath your feet. As an bonus action, you spend 3 ki points to gain resistance to all damage while in patient defense for a duration of 1 min.

Can only be used once per long rest.

 

Godly Gale of War

At 17th level, you become wreathed in a whirlwind, magical aura. Your movement speed is tripled and you gain freedom of movement. Attacks of opportunity are at disadvantage and any opponent you pass by must succeed on a strength saving throw with a DC equal to your monk level + your Dex modifier or be pushed 30 feet and knocked prone.

Last 3 rounds.

Can only be used once per 24 hrs.

*for the purpose of style, your movement is considered flying though you cannot move vertically without jumping.
