Base Class: Bard
Some say that no matter what sparks inspiration in an artist, the muses are the ones at work. Inspiration incarnate, they cultivate the arts through capturing moments in the minds of others. Bards that follow this college devote themselves to the purest of art by directly invoking the powers of the muses. Artisans of any skill or even orators and debaters, these bards live in the moment and always in the right moment. Those who follow this college are known for their affinity for off the cuff ideas and being able to change with ever shifting circumstances. Whatever happens, inspiration always seems to strike at the right time.
Invocation of the Muse
Starting when you choose this college at 3rd level, you learn the esoteric art of manifesting the power of a muse through your Bardic Inspiration. As a bonus action, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration die to invoke a muse. You can manifest one of the following effects that you choose.
Tragic Poetry. You inflict a creature you can see within 60 feet with a muse of tragic origins. As a reaction whenever the creature makes a saving throw, you may impose a penalty equal to your proficiency bonus on that save.
Epic Poetry. You summon the muse of epic tales to bolster an ally. You give a creature you can see within 60 feet a bonus equal to your proficiency bonus to any damage roll they make.
Romantic Poetry. You entreat the inspiration of all ballads of romance and drama to protect an ally. You can choose a creature you can see within 60 feet to receive this boon. Whenever the target makes a saving throw, they can add your proficiency bonus to the total.
Sacred Poetry. You call on a muse of divine inspiration to heal your allies. As a part of the bonus action used to invoke this effect and as a bonus action on each subsequent turn while this effect persists, you can heal a creature you can see within 60 feet for an amount equal to your proficiency bonus plus your Charisma modifier.
Whichever effect you choose lasts for a number or rounds equal to a roll of your Bardic Inspiration dice (ending at the end of your turn) or until you use this feature again.
Stroke of Inspiration
Beginning at 6th level, you gain guidance from the muses when you need it most. When you make a skill check that you are not proficient in, you can choose to gain proficiency with that skill for that check. You can use this feature a number of times per ay equal to your Charisma modifier and regain all expended uses over a long rest.
Epiphany
At 14th level, you become an instrument of the muses, inspiring those around you. When you use your Invocation of the Muse feature, you can choose to not expend a Bardic Inspiration dice. When used in this way, the effect lasts until the end of your next turn.
Additionally, if you roll a 1 on your Bardic Inspiration dice for this feature, you may roll the dice again, but you must use the new roll even if it is a 1.
