Base Class: Bard
Bards from the College of Twilight have an intimate connection with the other side. They learn from both the living and from the dead, singing songs from both and reciting poems long thought lost to the living. They can often be found at gravesites, playing along, sombre melody with only the dead around for an audience. In the brief pauses between their melancholic performances, passersby may hear brief utterances between bards and the tombstones around them almost as if they are engaging in pleasant conversation.
Tales Gone By
Spirits of the dead sing lost tales and weave dark magic for you in your dreams. Beginning at 3rd level, when you finish a long rest you may choose two necromancy spells. Until you finish your next long rest, you know these spells and they count as Bard spells for you. At 6th level, you may choose three spells with this feature, and four at 14th level.
Return from Twilight
At 3rd level, your words have the power to bring creatures back from the twilight between life and death. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration and choose one creature which is at 0 hit points that you can see within 60 feet of you. The target immediately regains hit points equal to two rolls of your Bardic Inspiration die plus your Charisma modifier.
Moonlight Sonata
At 6th level, your songs have the power to push the dying past the twilight and on into undeath. If you are holding a musical instrument, as a bonus action you can choose one humanoid within 60 feet which has died within the last minute. The corpse immediately reanimates and stands up with 1 hit point. The creature uses the zombie statistics. It remains animate for 1 hour, after which time it collapses and dies. A humanoid can be reanimated in this way only once.
In combat, the zombie's turn is immediately after yours. It obeys your mental commands, and the only action it can take is the Attack action, making one melee attack.
You are capable of maintaining a number of corpses animated in this way equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one.)
Song of Twilight
At 14th level, you learn the song of twilight, a magical melody capable of sending creatures into a death-like sleep.
As an action, you can begin to play the song of twilight. Creatures which you choose that start their turn within 60 feet of you that can hear when you are playing the song must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or fall unconscious until the song ends or they take any damage. While unconscious in this way, the creature appears dead to all outward inspection and to spells used to determine the target's status. A creature that succeeds its saving throw cannot be affected by this ability again for 1 hour. An undead creature is charmed instead of becoming unconscious if it fails the saving throw. Undead which are immune to the charmed condition have advantage on the saving throw but are still charmed by this ability if they fail.
The song lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration (as if concentrating on a spell.) You must complete a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.
