Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Your force of will is a double edged sword, you can bring your enemies to their knees, but will you beat them to the punch?

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Soulbound. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer of binding, using your Channel Divinity. Touch one creature that you can see. That creature must make a contested Charisma saving throw. Fiends and undead have disadvantage on this saving throw.

On a failed save, roll a Soulbound die (d6 from level 1-4, d8 from level 5-9, d10 from level 10-14, and a d12 from level 15-20) and divide by two rounding up.  This is the critical success range all creatures have against the creature and you.  For example, a 7 is rolled, this increases the critical success range by 4, as such an ally will roll a critical hit from a 16-20 instead of only a natural 20.  A creature is unaware of this threat unless it spends its action to perform an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC.

On a successful save, this effect lasts for one round and the creature immediately understands the threat.

Vow of Enmity. As a bonus action, you can utter a vow of enmity against a creature you can see within 10 feet of you, using your Channel Divinity. You gain advantage on attack rolls against the creature for 1 minute or until it drops to 0 hit points or falls unconscious.

Searing Vengeance

Searing Vengeance

Starting at 14th level, the radiant energy you channel allows you to resist death. When you have to make a death saving throw at the start of your turn, you can instead spring back to your feet with a burst of radiant energy. You regain hit points equal to half your hit point maximum, and then you stand up if you so choose. Each creature of your choice that is within 30 feet of you takes radiant damage equal to 2d8 + your Charisma modifier, and it is blinded until the end of the current turn.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Scornful Rebuke

Starting at 15th level, those who dare to strike you are psychically punished for their audacity. Whenever a creature hits you with an attack, that creature takes psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) if you’re not incapacitated.

Avenging Soul

At 20th level, you become an angelic avenger. You gain the following benefits:

  • Wings sprout from your back and grant you a flying speed of 60 feet.
  • Any time you perform a critical strike on a creature they must perform a Charisma saving throw or be banished, upon a successful save the creature has advantage on all subsequent saves against forceful teleportation.
