Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The cold is a phenomenon with mixed reception. Some avoid it, while others, like you, embrace it. The origin of your frozen heritage is Cryone, an ancient blizzard with a will of its own. You were most likely born in its presence, and have received its magical essence. Due to this, you have grown wary of warmth, and feel much more comfortable when there's at least a cool breeze blowing in your face. Due to Cryone's nature, you have become a swift and pressuring fighter who brings the merciless wrath of the cold upon those who dare stand in their way.

Chill Body

Others would have perished from the cold, but you were a lucky one, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You have resistance to cold damage.

Sudden Frost

Your magic is as quick as the winds of the storm which gave it to you. During your turn on the first round of combat, you can cast any ice spell that you know (such as Cone of Cold or Ray of Frost) as a bonus action.

This feature can be used only once on the first round of combat. You can only cast a spell at its lowest possible level, and the expense of a spell slot is required. Once a new combat begins, you are able to use this feature again.

Decoy Trap

You have a surprise for foes attacking you head on. Starting at 6th level, when a creature that you can see targets you with an attack (but before they make the attack roll, meaning without knowing whether the attack hits you), you can use your reaction to teleport to an unoccupied space within a distance equal to half your current movement speed. Upon teleporting, you leave behind a sculpture of yourself made of ice or snow. The sculpture's AC is half your current AC (rounded down). If the sculpture is hit, it bursts. All creatures within 5 feet of the sculpture must make a Dex saving throw, taking 1d4 cold damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. This damage increases to 1d6 when you reach 12th level, and to 1d8 when you reach 16th level.

You can use this feature 3 times before you have to take a long rest to use it again.

Apprentice of Wind

At 14th level, the influence of Cryone truly shines through. As an action, you can spend 3 sorcery points to give yourself a flying speed equal to your walking speed. This speed lasts until you dismiss it as a bonus action, and is doubled if you are flying in windy conditions.

One with the Cold

At 18th level, you finally truly embrace the cold of Cryone. You can cast Investiture of Ice once per long rest without expending a spell slot. You also gain permanent immunity to cold damage.
