Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Omens have roamed the Emblian Coast since the dawn of time, instilling fear and bringing darkness wherever they venture. While most may be sworn to spread evil, there are those few that have only been corrupted with dark powers, able to harness the brutality of the spirit realm and their own soul.

Murderous Intent

At 3rd level, your gaze alone strikes fear into the hearts of your enemies. As a bonus action, you can choose to set your murderous sights on any creature of your choice. While you have your sights on them, your strikes deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage to the target. Once you use this feature, you must finish a short rest before you can use it again.

This damage increases by 1d6 at 5th, 11th, and 18th level. You gain an additional use of Murderous Intent at 10th level.

Death Stride

Also at 3rd level, your form has been altered and hallowed by death, allowing you to more easily stalk your prey. Your walking speed increases by 5 feet and opportunity attacks have disadvantage against you.

Lifetaker

At 7th level, you've learned to suck the life out of your prey. While your Muderous Intent feature is active, you regain hit points to equal to half of your extra damage dealt.

Heartseeker

At 10th level, you've learned to harness the fear within the hearts of others within close proximity. You gain a bonus to your saving throws against effects that you can see equal to the amount of creatures within 5 feet of you.

Deathly Grasp

At 15th level, you've learned to never let your prey leave your grasp. As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 40 ft. towards a creature that you've hit before in combat. You must be able to see the creature.

Omen of Death

Starting at 18th level, you become an omen in death, a reaper to be fears by even the strongest of bulwarks. As a reaction to being reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead and return as an Omen of Death for 1 minute and gain the following benefits:

  • You can make an attack as a reaction to being hit and as part of activating your Omen of Death.
  • You regain a use of Murderous Intent.
  • Any creature that ends its turn within 10 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you for 1 minute. A frightened creature can reroll the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on themselves on a success.
  • Your movement increases by 10 feet and does not provoke opportunity attacks.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you've finished a long rest.
