Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Gabrook was a friendly little gnome who loved learning. He was frolicking in the forest in search of a quaint little place to sit and read his new book when he was attacked by a swarm of goblins. During the attack one of the goblins knocked the book from Gabrook's hand... it landed square in a mud puddle... Gabrook saw red and then everything went black. The next thing he knew the goblins were all slaughtered and some of them burned to a crisp. He cast mending on his book and skipped back on down the road in search of the perfect reading spot.

This rare breed of Barbarians are able to cast spells during combat and maintain their rage. They can also maintain concentration on spells. They cannot cast any spells outside of rage except for ritual spells that they know.

Every coin has two sides however, if this barbarian casts a spell or end their turn concentrating on a spell, they have disadvantage on all saving throws against magic and have disadvantage on their constitution saves to maintain concentration on their spells until the start of their next turn.

Spellcasting

While raging you may cast spells from the Sorcerer spell list.

Spells of Fury

When you take this path at level 3 you gain the ability to cast spells. Strength is the Spellcasting modifier, as these spells are cast through the sheer fury of rage.

While outside of rage you can cast cantrips and you may cast ritual spells that you know as a ritual. You may only cast any non ritual spell outside of combat by using a spell slot as normal and increasing the time it takes to cast by 5 min.

Melee attack cantrips can be used with reckless attack.

Magical Attacks

You may pick one attack cantrip from any list that uses a melee attack roll. You may cast it as the action of your Extra Attack feature and still get the second attack, which you may also use one of these cantrips for. You may also add rage damage to the melee cantrip you cast this way.

(You may also choose any melee attack cantrip if you own the corresponding sourcebook, you will just need to add the spell manually)

Shillelagh

You learn the shillelagh cantrip.

Shocking Grasp

You learn the Shocking Grasp cantrip.

Anti-Magic Aura

You have been around magic so much that you know how to dampen its effects. Casting spells while raging no longer makes your enemies gain advantage on magic or impose disadvantage on you.

Magic Mastery

Your associations with magic have made you able to shrug off even the most devastating magical attacks. While raging you gain resistance to all damage. You also are now able to cast spells outside of combat with no time penalty.
