College of Fans

The College of Fans focuses on dance as a performance medium. Bards that study this path are expert dancers, often training for elite high-society performances. Bladed fans are the main weapon focus for this class, and use simple thrown weapon statistics - a light bladed fan uses a dagger stat block, whilst a heavy bladed fan uses a handaxe stat block. Alternative weapons could be used - for example a ribbon dancer could specialise with weaponised ribbons using the whip stat block.

Bonus Proficiencies

You gain proficiency with the Acrobatics and Performance checks. In addition, you are trained in the use of bladed fans for performances and combat.

Silken Step

You have trained extensively in moving quickly and smoothly, sensing obstacles around you and avoiding dangers with practiced steps.

Whilst you are not wearing armour or using a shield, you may add your Charisma Modifier (minimum of +1) to your armour class.

In addition, your movement speed increases by 5ft.

Dance of the Whirling Blades

You may make two attacks as part of your Attack Action. In addition, one of those attacks may be a cantrip.

Obscuring Flourish

Once per round when making a weapon attack, you can expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration to shield yourself from incoming attacks. All attack rolls against you are made at disadvantage until the end of your next round.
