Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The vastness of space may seem empty and cold, but the cosmos are the stage for violently destructive and cataclysmic interactions. Massive collisions of matter and energy fuel the destruction of the stars, and the creation of something new from the stardust. This is also what drives the rage of barbarians who follow the Path of Stardust.

Path of the Stardust barbarians learn to use the wrath of the universe to empower their own abilities and devastate their enemies.

Starlight

3rd-level Path of Stardust feature

When you adopt this path at 3rd level, you gain the ability to create starlight from your own body. As a bonus action, you can shed light as if affected by the light cantrip. You can dismiss this effect again as a bonus action.

Dazzling Strikes

3rd-level Path of Stardust feature

While raging, your attacks create a burst of starlight that can daze your target. Once per round, you can make one of your attacks a Dazzling Strike. On a successful hit, the target gains disadvantage on all attack rolls until the start of your next turn. Creatures that are immune to being blinded are unaffected by this ability.

Cosmic Foresight

6th-level Path of Stardust feature

Your connection to the stars lets you gain insight from the cosmos. You can cast the augury a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, but only as a ritual. Alternatively, you can expend 3 uses of this ability to cast contact other plane as a ritual. The saving throw for this spell is Constitution rather than Intelligence.

You regain all expended uses of this feature on a long rest

Gravity Crash

10th-level Path of Stardust feature

You harness the powers of gravitic attraction to collide with you enemies in battle. Your Rage Damage now deals force damage.

In addition, as an action while raging, choose one creature you can see within 30 ft. You can either pull the target 10 feet towards you, or move yourself 10 feet in the target's direction. An unwilling creature gets to make a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) to resist this effect. At the end of this movement, if you are within melee range of the target, you can make a melee weapon attack that deals extra force damage equal to your barbarian level. You can use this ability once per rage.

Body of Stardust

14th-level Path of Stardust feature

Your rage turns your body into the same resplendent matter that makes up the universe. While you are raging, you can use your reaction in two new ways:

  • You increase your body's density, gaining a +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn.
  • When hit by a melee weapon attack, you force the attacker to succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC is 8 + your proficiency bonus +your Constitution modifier) or be blinded until the end their next turn.
