Base Class: Paladin
When a paladin swears this oath, they bind themselves to ward the wilderness from those that would destroy and exploit it. The paladin becomes as wild fire, purging the rot from the wilds.
Those that swear the Skogbrann oath most commonly do so at the bidding of a mighty wild spirit that calls on them to fend off a threat to the untamed natural lands. A fire burns within them through the spirits of the land to repel invaders with magic, steel and flame with no remorse.
Tenets of the Skogbrann
A paladin that takes on the mantle of the Skogbrann vows to defend nature and untamed wilds from those that seek to trespass, exploit and destroy.
Leave No Trace. The land is a host for mortals. It is to be worshipped, appreciated and respected; and those that need travel through it should leave no trace of their passage.
By the Roots. When you find a creeping menace that poses a threat to the natural order, purge it to its core to safeguard the future.
Nurture the Cycle. All things die, nature renews. Defend the order with trust and compassion.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Scorched Earth. As an action, you can release a blast of energy that ignites the ground around you in a 20 ft radius. Creatures in the area of your choice of the blast must make a Constitution saving throw taking 14 (4d6) points of lightning damage, or half as much on a successful save. For 1 minute, the ground in this area continues to crackle and glow with power. This ground is difficult terrain, and when a creature moves into the space, or starts their turn within it, they take fire damage equal to your charisma modifier. Creatures of your choice that you can see are immune to these effects as you carefully command the burning power.
Feral Slaughter. As a bonus action, you can channel the rebuking spirits of the wild lands to repel trespassers. On this bonus action, you can make a melee weapon attack. If you hit, you may make another attack. These attacks must all target the same creature and the number of attacks made as part of this bonus action cannot exceed your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

Warden's Aura
Starting at 7th level, the paladin gains the ability to shield their allies from the purging flames. When they, or an ally within 10 ft, regains hit points they gain resistance to fire damage for 1 minute.
At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.
Elemental Paragon
Starting at 15th level, you become adept at siphoning elemental energy for your own use. When you suffer acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage, you can use your reaction to gain resistance to the triggering damage until the start of your next turn. Additionally, the next time you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, the target takes damage equal to the damage you resisted.
Wildfire Incarnate
At 20th level, you become filled with the raging power of the wild lands taking on a bestial, flaming form that lasts 10 minutes, or until dismissed.
- If your size is smaller than large, you become large. Your speed increases by 20 ft. You have advantage on strength checks and saving throws; and melee attacks deal an additional 1d10 damage.
- Your form becomes wreathed in flames that billow outward from you. You shed bright light for 30 ft, and dim light for another 30 ft. When a creature within 30 ft of you makes an attack or casts a spell, you can use your reaction to send a gout of flame to punish their action. The creature must make a Dexterity saving throw or suffer 3d10 fire damage, or half as much on a successful save.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
