Base Class: Paladin
The metallic red dragon, Kaiser, was a proud and fierce warrior amongst others of his kind. Doing more than most to protect and fight for humanity against Tiamat and her forces for hundreds of years, becoming a legendary creature amongst the cities and tribes that knew his name. On a calm, peaceful day, Kaiser was watching the people from his den, as it grew to be one of his favorite pass-times. Looking over to where the knights were training, he saw a boy who appeared to be younger than most, struggling to keep up with the rest, but none the less, never falling too far behind, and always keeping a determined look on his face, it was almost like he was trying to prove something. In a way, it reminded him of himself, before he became a hero to the people. He would start watching this boy with more interest. Silently watching over him for months, as he grew to be more skilled than his peers, and starting to make a name for himself, always helping wherever he could.
Eventually, Tiamat and her forces would return with the biggest force Kaiser had ever seen. In an instant the skies grew dark, and the area from which they stood became barren. He immediately turned and flew towards the city to warn them. Soon after warning the city and rallying the troops, the battle ensued. Destroying the city and laying waste to the surrounding land. Towards the end of the battle, Kaiser managed to wound Tiamat, but suffered a fatal blow in the process. With the world growing dark, and his strength leaving his body he gave the last of his power to the boy. With this newfound power, the knight would go on to slay Tiamat. When the battle was over, the spirit of the metallic dragon manifested over her corpse, and declared the boy to be his successor. In time he would be known as, "The Dragon Knight" and would take Kaiser's name. Becoming the first in a long line of successors to this power.
When a Kaiser falls, the power leaves their body, and searches for a new worthy heir to inherit it. These powers begin to manifest almost immediately when an individual is chosen, sometimes violently, depending on the circumstances.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Transfiguration. As an action, you can concentrate on manifesting your full potential, changing your form to that of the original dragon knight. For 1 minute you take on the appearance and strength of the original Kaiser. Giving you wings and a flying speed of 30 feet. If you already have wings, your speed increases by an additional 30 feet. Your size also becomes large, and all damage from any spell or attack does additional fire damage equal to twice your Paladin level. This can only be used once per long rest, requires concentration, and gives one point of exhaustion when the ability ends.
Summon Kaiserium. As a bonus action, you can summon the legendary sword Kaiserium. A magnificent magical two-handed Greatsword. Once summoned the sword lasts for 1 minute. When you attack with this sword, instead of striking, you can choose to make a ranged melee attack, sending out a wave of fire from the blade. This wave of fire has a range of 10 feet and does 2d6 damage. If Transfiguration is active while you are holding this sword, the wave of fire overcomes resistances and treats immunity as resistant. You can use this feature twice per long rest.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Flame On
The burning might of Kaiser swells within you. Your smite damage is no longer radiant and instead inflicts fire damage.
Defender Mode / Attacker Mode
By 7th level, Kaiser's spirit has begun to reinforce the way you fight. In combat you can use your reaction to change your stance to either Defense, or Attack.
Defense Mode. When you take this stance, your AC increases by 2. If an enemy hits you, you can use your reaction to make a counter attack immediately after. This attack counts as an opportunity attack and thus follows the same rules. If you're in Transfiguration you can also aggressively flap your wings towards the target, forcing them to make a strength saving throw (contested by a strength check made by you). If they fail, they are pushed back 5 feet. If they succeed, nothing happens.
Attack Mode. When you take this stance, you crit on a roll of 19 or 20. Additionally, if you are wielding Kaiserium, you can make a ranged melee attack. Extending the blade out to a range of 10 feet, if the attack hits, the target is pulled within 5 feet of you and you can follow up with an additional attack. If you are also using Transfiguration, and the ranged melee attack hits, you can use your reaction to detonate the blade, dealing an additional 2d8 damage, before pulling them into you.
Final Form
At 15th level, you have finally hit your peak. You are now immune to fire damage, and have resistance to cold damage. Any fire damage that comes from you now overcomes resistances and treats immunity as resistance. Additionally, Kaiserium and Transfiguration gain additional features.
Ancestral Prominence
At 20th level, you can (as an action) summon the spirit of the metallic red dragon, Kaiser, to fight alongside you for 1 hour. The DM controls the dragon. Kaiser uses the stat block of an ancient red dragon. Additionally, you get access to one more ability, Ancestral Prominence.
Ancestral Prominence. This is the ability the dragon Kaiser used to deal the fatal blow to Tiamat. With the dragon Kaiser and Kaiserium summoned, you can start this ability. It takes two turns to cast (this cannot be accelerated through features or spells that give additional actions). While casting, neither you, nor the dragon can make any other actions / movements, except for the dodge action.
Warning! This last ability is meant to be a sacrificial end to your character, there is no turning back once you start casting this ability!
On the first action, you raise your sword. You and the spirit begin to glow blinding white, and the dragon hovers over you, beginning to make a massive orb of fire. On the second action, the spirit is absorbed by the massive ball of fire. This orb then filters into your sword. You then stab your sword into the ground, detonating it. All creatures within 200 feet (including you) take 1,000 fire damage (the ability overcomes immunity, and is a guaranteed hit, unless the creatures in range have a way to escape before it goes off). After the spell, nothing remains but a giant crater with an elevated spot in the middle. With the Kaiserium being the only thing that remains. (Insert sacrificial Church quote from RvB here).
