Monks of the Way of Polarity learn to channel their ki to control the magnetic fields that surround them. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Magnetism Unleashed

You can channel your magnetic ki into your equipmeent to grant yourself a measure of control over it. Whenever you finish a short or long rest, you can touch a number of weapons or shields equal to your Proficiency bonus causing them to float into the air around you. You gain the following benefits:

  • Each shield used in this way adds 1 to your AC and you may add the AC bonus on top of your Unarmored Defense. The magnetic connection between you and a floating shield is lost if it is ever more than 5 ft. away from you or you are unconscious.
  • A weapon used in this way can be magnetically controlled to attack your enemies at range. A floating weapon can move up to 15 ft. before attacking and can make opportunity attacks if you have a reaction remaining. The magnetic connection between you and a floating weapon is lost if it is ever more than 15 ft. away from you or you are unconscious.
  • Once per round, when you use Flurry of Blows, you may attack with each of your floating weapons instead.

Magnetic Ki

Starting at 3rd level, your training allows you to control the magnetic fields around you. You can use your ki for the following additional abilities:

  • Redirection - The control you have over your floating weapons can redirect your missed attacks. Once per round, you can spend 1 ki point to reroll a weapon attack that misses. If the attack then hits, the target takes additional damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die.

  • Sixth Sense - Your connection to magnetic fields grant you a keen awareness of your enemies at all times. If you or an ally within 5 ft. of you are targeted by an attack, 1 ki point can be used as a reaction to attempt to block it. Add 1 to the target's AC for each floating shield under your control. If the attack misses after the bonus is applied, the ki point is consumed and the attacker must succeed on a Strength save against your saving throw DC or be pushed back 10 feet as your shield shoves them away.

  • Eye of the Storm - As an Action, you can spend 1 ki point to whirl your blades in the air around you. As an action, each weapon controlled by your telekinesis flies to your location. Each creature of your choosing within 5 ft. of you must perform a Dexterity saving throw, taking one roll of your Martial Arts die for each weapon controlled by you on a fail or half as much on a save.

 
 

Ear to the Ground

You can sense the vibrations of your enemy within the ground around you. You have advantage on all Perception checks and cannot be surprised by an enemy so long as you are conscious.

 
 

Creative Thinking

Your shields are no longer just for blocking incoming attacks. You gain a climbing and swimming speeds of 30 ft. as you use your shields to propel you through water or boost you up walls.

 

Crushing Force

You can now wield the magnetic fields surrounding your enemies as a weapon. As an Action, you can spend 4 ki points to cause the air around one target to collapse, dealing 10 bludgeoning damage, lowering the target's AC by 2, and reducing their walking speed by 10 ft.

 

Reverse Polarity

As an action, you can spend 8 ki points and every creature of your choosing within a 30 ft. diameter sphere must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your saving throw DC or have their weapons pulled out of their grasp towards the center of the sphere. Any metal objects are also pulled to the center of the sphere if it is not secured.

As an additional action, you can send the objects shooting back out in all directions, dealing slashing damage equal to your Martial Arts die times the number of objects held to every creature within the sphere and knocking them prone.
