Base Class: Fighter
Used typically by pirates, bandits, marauders, and even some devils, hooked chains are a deadly weapon when wielded by those who possess the exceptional strength required to properly use it. You have learned how to wield it with deadly efficiency, throwing your weight around while pulling both foes and ally alike, then sending enemies flying.
- Hook save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier
Hooked Chain Proficiency
Starting when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the hooked chain allowing you to add your proficiency bonus to attacks made with the hooked chain.

Scrap Smith
You gain proficiency with Smith’s Tools and can use them to craft items at half cost.
Chain Grab
Starting at 3rd level, you learn how to pull creatures towards you with your chain. When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon attack using a hooked chain, you can choose to not deal any damage and immediately use your bonus action to force the creature to make a Strength saving throw against your hook save DC. A willing creature can choose to fail this saving throw. On a failed saving throw, the creature is pulled 20 feet closer to you or grappled in place. If they succeed, the hooked chain returns to your hand automatically. You may return the chain with a bonus action on a fail if you choose.
Chain Launch
When you reach 7th level, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack while attacking with your hooked chain, the creature must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed saving throw, the creature is forced 10 feet away from you in a straight line.
Elongated Chain
Upon reaching 10th level, you no longer have disadvantage on attacks at long range with a hooked chain.
Intimidating Pressence
Starting at 10th level, You gain proficiency in Intimidation if you did not have it already, and when you make an Intimidation check, you can substitute your Charisma modifier for your Strength modifier.
Reapers Hook
At 15th level, your hooked chain attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20, and you regain hit points equal to half of the damage on these rolls, rounded down.
Binding Chain
Upon reaching 18th level, whenever you use your hooked chain to grapple an enemy, you can use your bonus action to cause damage.
