Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Path of the Penguin Warrior is a spiritual journey, as the barbarian accepts a penguin as guide, companion, and ally. In battle, your penguin grants you supernatural might, adding magical fuel to your barbarian rage. Finding strength through a deep inner connection, the Penguin Warrior learns to channel the spirit into material form and summon their allies into battle alongside them.

These warriors walk outside of tribal affiliation, thus the path is frowned upon by tribal elders. When an individual takes up a separate spirit animal, their connection to the penguin path is lost.

Spiritual Assistance

Your devotion to the penguin ways allows you to give form to your totem spirit. Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you may call upon your spirit when you rage. If you do so, for the duration of your rage, it gains the ability to take a single action. It is equipped with a single greataxe and must remain within 10 feet of you for the duration of your rage. It cannot be injured, however it vanishes as soon as your rage ends. When that occurs, you suffer one level of exhaustion. It's stats are as follows:

Str Dex Con Int Wis Cha
14 (+2) 10 (+0) 8 (-1) 12 (+1) 2 (-4) 4 (-3)

At level 10, you may further empower it through your connection to the penguin totem. Your spirit takes your strength and gains the ability to move freely. You take an additional [roll]2d6[/roll] psychic damage when your rage ends.

Call of the Penguin

Beginning at 6th level, your spirit prevents you from being frightened while raging. If you are frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage. Additionally, your penguin traits grant you resistance to cold damage and a swimming speed equal to 30.

Bond of the Penguin

At 10th level, your heightened spiritual connection to the penguin grants you further immunity to cold damage and a swim speed equal to 60.

Winged Protection

Starting at 14th level, your penguin begins to shield you on it's behalf. When you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of it, your spirit can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
