Bard
Base Class: Bard

Bards in the College of Shanties use their voices to keep rhythm and inspire their hard-working allies to be stronger and quicker. These bards often sing a cappella, as playing an instrument is often quite difficult when pulling on ropes and manning the helm of a ship. They often find jobs as sailors, soldiers, and marines, assuming the pirate’s life isn’t for them.

Rhythm of the Waves

Starting at 3rd level, you can use the rhythm of the world around you to quicken your allies. If you have given an ally bardic inspiration, you can use your reaction to give them advantage on their next ability or skill check or saving throw, as if you have used the Help action.

Siren's Voice

Also at 3rd level, your silver-tongued way of speaking and singing makes you all but irresistible. You gain expertise in all Charisma based skills. ( Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion)

Song of the Sea

At 6th level, your shanties begin to have an enchanting effect on those around you. As an action, you can force all creatures that can hear you in a 30ft sphere around you to make a Charisma saving throw. Creatures of your choice have disadvantage on this save. On a fail, the creature is charmed and cannot make attacks for 10 minutes. If any charmed creature takes damage, the effect ends early. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier.

Skald of the Fathoms Below

At 6th level, you can speak to all creatures with an innate swimming speed.

Cadence of the Deep

At 14th level, the flow of your songs and meters quicken the strikes of your allies. When a creature uses bardic inspiration to influence an attack roll, and that attack hits, all creatures of your choice in a 15ft sphere can make an attack as their reaction.
