Base Class: Barbarian
Your rage is like a tempest of the heart, vast enough to sunder the walls of the world. The flames that roar within you cast lan otherwordly strangeness. Evil and wicked things cower behind your light, and bow to the strength of your darkness. Noble creatures owe you their faith. Your heart is a lantern of emotion, both hopeful and grim.
Barbarians who choose the path of the Passionate Heart may seek a calling to vengeance against the greatest wrongs done in the world, or to commit them. They are towed by their feelings, letting the voice of their love and hate guide them.
Mania
3rd-level Path of the Passionate Heart feature.
When you rage, you can choose to enter a manic rage, emitting an otherworldly aura for the duration. When you do, you must choose from one of your known auras. You know the Feywild aura and the Shadowfell aura.
Once per turn when you hit with a melee weapon attack while in a manic rage, you can influence your aura to deal an additional 1d6 damage to the target; the damage type is determined by your aura. When you reach certain levels in this class, the damage increases, to 2d6 at 10th level, 3d6 at 15th level, and 4d6 at 20th level.
Lastly, when your aura deals damage to a creature, you can use a bonus action to siphon the target's health, healing a different creature you choose within 30 feet of you. The creature you choose regains 1d6 hit points. You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1), and you can not use it again until you finish a long rest.
Feywild Aura
Your body glitters with an aura of luminous mist, which sheds bright light out to 30 feet around you. The mist can be of any color, and it carries joyous sounds within it. This aura deals psychic damage, and associates with the fey creature type.
Shadowfell Aura
Your body exudes a smoky aura of shadow, reducing bright light within 30 feet of you to dim light. The shadow feels cold against skin, and casts frightful shapes as it rolls through the air. This aura deals necrotic damage, and associates with the undead creature type.
Wellspring of Passion
6th-level Path of the Passionate Heart feature
The wellsprings from which your rage runs grow deeper. You have resistance to the damage type that your aura deals.
In addition, you learn either the Celestial aura, Fiendish aura, or Primordial aura. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can choose to forget the aura you learn with this feature, and learn a different one.
Celestial Aura
Your body cascades with heavenly light, shedding bright light out to 120 feet around you. The light spreads around corners. This aura deals radiant damage, and associates with the celestial creature type.
Fiendish Aura
Your body flickers with sinister flames that loll sickly at the air. Your aura deals an additional 1d6 damage. This aura deals fire damage, and associates with the fiend creature type.
Primordial Aura
Your body ripples with sage winds, icy droplets, and motes of dust and fire. Your AC increases by 1 when this aura is active. This aura deals lightning, and associates with the primordial creature type.
Soul Mark
10th-level Path of the Passionate Heart feature
The raw power coursing wild through you scars the land and the creatures on it. When your aura deals damage to a creature, you can mark that creature. It remains marked for 1 minute, or until you mark another creature. Any attack roll you make against a marked creature is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
You can mark a creature twice, and you can not mark another until you finish a long rest.
Unparalleled Rage
14th-level Path of the Passionate Heart feature
Your heart can not be quelled, and your voice can not be quieted. You rage never ends early, and if you are reduced to 0 hit points while raging, you immediately regain hit points equal to your level in this class and rise from prone. Once you regain hit points with this feature, it can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
