Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

Completely comfortable in even the coldest of environments, rangers of the Hoarfrost Wanderer Conclave utilise the strength of the blizzard to slip in and out of sight, becoming like a blur in a flurry of snow.

Hoarfrost Magic

You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Hoarfrost Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you know. You also learn the Ray of Frost cantrip.

Glacial Predator

When you choose this conclave at 3rd level, your body acclimates to arctic temperatures. You have advantage on saving throws you make to resist the effects of cold weather and strong winds, and you can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by rain, snow, mist, hail, and other icy natural phenomena. In addition, you don’t suffer disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight from being lightly obscured by icy natural phenomena, and you treat being heavily obscured by icy natural phenomena as being lightly obscured for the purpose of seeing.

Frost Guard

At 3rd level, you can surround yourself with spikes of ice. You can cast the Armour of Agathys spell at 1st level without spending a spell slot. The level of the spell increases by 1 when you reach 5th level (2nd), 9th level (3rd), 13th level (4th), and 17th level (5th) in this class. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

Blizzard Mark

At 7th level, you learn the Hunter’s Mark spell, and it doesn’t count against the number of ranger spells you can learn. Whenever you deal additional damage to a creature with Hunter’s Mark, you can choose for it to be cold damage.

When you mark a creature with your Hunter’s Mark, you can cause an illusory blizzard to kick up around you, blurring your form whenever the marked creature tries to attack you. The marked creature suffers disadvantage on attacks rolls against you. The creature is immune to this effect if it doesn’t rely on sight, as with blindsight, or can see through illusions, as with truesight.

Hoarfrost Hunter

Starting at 11th level, you become resistant to cold damage, and you gain proficiency in Constitution saving throws.

Once per turn, when you deal cold damage to a creature, you can reduce its speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the effect already reduced the creature’s speed, its speed is reduced by an additional 5 feet.

Snowstorm Phantom

Starting at 15th level, you are constantly surrounded by a faint flurry of ice that distorts your form. If you end a turn in which you didn’t move more than half your speed in a lightly obscured space, you are considered heavily obscured until the end of your next turn. In addition, whenever you are heavily obscured, you can use your bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet to another space in which you would be heavily obscured.
