Base Class: Sorcerer
You were born or bestowed with powerful magical abilities, but at a terrible cost. Your magic is intertwined with your lifeforce; you cannot expend one without the other.
Exercised Constitution
You have a lot of practice in fighting for your life.
Starting at 1st level, you have increased hit points. When you first acquire this feature, your hit point maximum doubles. Any time your hit point maximum increases, it increases by twice the amount. If you roll for increased health upon leveling up, you have advantage on the roll.
Your magical power increases to match, as it attempts to eat as your life. Once you gain sorcery points at 2nd level, you have twice the number of sorcery points as normal sorcerer. Your spell attack modifier and spell save DC increases by 2 when casting sorcerer spells.
Cursed Magicks
Starting at 1st level, whenever you cast a sorcerer spell, you take 1d4 necrotic damage per level of the spell. This damage cannot be prevented or reduced by resistance or immunity to necrotic damage; it can only be prevented or reduced by this feature or the "Share The Load" feature.
When you cast a spell that triggers this feature, you can expend extra magical energy in order suppress the damaging effects of this feature. When you would take necrotic damage from this feature, you may expend either a number of sorcery points equal to the level of the casted spell, or a spell slot of equal or greater level to the casted spell, in order to prevent the damage you would normally take with this feature.
Accursed Revelry
Beginning at 6th level, you may augment the power of spells by feeding into the curse that possesses you. When you cast a spell that has a a saving throw or an attack roll you may do one of the following:
- Add your proficiency to your spell attack bonus twice.
- Your target(s) have disadvantage on your spell's saving throw.
- You roll damage for your spell twice and may choose either total. This feature can be used alongside similar features, such as the "Empowered Spell" metamagic option.
When you use this feature, you take an additional 1d12 necrotic damage. You can use this feature an unlimited number of times, but only once per turn.
Share The Load
At 14th level, you gain the ability to share the burden of your curse with another. You can select a willing creature to take half of your cursed damage for 1 hour. When you receive necrotic damage from the Cursed Magicks feature, you take only half of the damage you rolled (rounded up) and the targeted creature takes the same amount of damage.
Not My Time
Starting at 18th level, you have the ability stave off your death. Upon receiving a death saving throw failure, even if it would be the last one before you die, you can choose to return to 1 hit point.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you have taken 1d6 long rest(s).
