Bard
Base Class: Bard

Mockingbards are a college of Bard that whose name serves as a descriptor for both their talent and philosophy. They are maestros of music and mana, who have formed an intimate and familiar connection with the fundamentals of rhythms, tones, melodies and composition of the arcane and of the world itself. Their intimate connection causes them to experience a euphoric joy deep within their hearts whenever they learn or encounter a new spell. In an effort to share this euphoria with the world, Mockingbards have learned to channel their mana to mimic almost spells, cantrips, and all manner of things beyond the constraints of their class.  From the loud deep and trembling notes of a Barbarian’s rage or the soft quiet melodies of a cleric’s healing words, the Mockingbards can mimic and hear it all and they want others to hear it too. But, despite their arcane talents they are unlike other spellcasters whose goals involve controlling or trying to quantify and understand magic; Mockingbards are only concerned about the joy and experience they feel when learning or witness the flow of magic and mana itself.

Magical Music

When you choose this college gain proficiency in Arcana and Performance. If you already have either proficiency, gain proficiency in your choice of :  Insight,  Persuasion, or Perception instead.

Mimid of Music

Upon joining the college at 3rd level you gain the ability to create a Magical Music Sheet cast Spellsong, and Canchirp in place of any spell or cantrip at anytime to attempt to imitate other classes spells and cantrips addition to your other spells.

Spellsong

Level: X          Casting Time: 1 Action         Range/Area: 60 ft.     Components: V       Duration: Instantaneous        School: Evocation      Attack/Save: X    Damage/Effect: Utility

You may use one action or Bardic Inspiration to attempt to learn how to imitate any spell used within a 60 ft. radius by rolling higher spellcasting die than the original caster: if the spell  does not have any spellcasting die then the you may roll its damage dice, if the spell has no damage die, then you may roll an ability check against it's associated stat modifier.

Each level of the target spell requires one additional higher roll with the target spells spellcasting dice or one additional successful ability check. Any lower rolls with the target spells spellcasting dice or failed ability checks cause the imitation to fail and do nothing (EX: If you try to imitate a Paladin's Banishing Smite, you must try to roll a higher charisma against them, 5 times in a row since it is a 5 level spell). Additionally, the caster gains one roll of disadvantage equal to the level difference between them and their targeted spell, in addition to the disadvantage die from Curious Composer. (EX: If you're level 3 trying to imitate a Paladin's Banishing Smite, you get 2 rolls at disadvantage while trying to roll higher damage dice than the Paladin 5 times in a row. If you already have a Paladin spell at level 3, you have to roll higher damage dice 5 times, with two  2 disadvantage die for the level difference  + 5 disadvantage die from Curious Composer.)

On success,, if the target spell is equal to your spellcasting level,  you may choose to permanently replace one of your current spells of an equal level with it (In order to permanently keep a Paladin's Banishing Smite  you would lose one 5th level spell and replace it with Banishing Smite).  If the target spell is higher than the casters spellcasting level, the caster may roll 1d4 at disadvantage equal to the level difference between the casters spellcasting level and the spells level, in order to gain that many temporary cast of the target spell. On failure the spell does nothing, and the caster may not make another attempt to imitate the same spell until they've taken a long rest.

Canchirp

Level: X          Casting Time: 1 Action         Range/Area: 60 ft.     Components: V       Duration: Instantaneous        School: Evocation      Attack/Save: X    Damage/Effect: Utility

You may use one action or Bardic Inspiration to attempt to learn how to imitate any cantrip used within a 60 ft. radius by rolling higher spellcasting die than the original caster: if the cantrip  does not have any spellcasting die then the you may roll its damage dice, if the spell has no damage die, then you may roll an ability check against it's associated stat modifier.  On failure the spell does nothing, and the caster may not make another attempt to imitate the same cantrip  until they've taken a long rest.

Monstrous Medley

You may now target creature and racial spell-like abilities with Spellsong.  When imitating another creature or racial spell-like abilities, you must roll against a difficulty rating equal to 10 + the targets ability modifier, once per CR above 1. If the target has a CR bellow 1 it is rounded up to 1.  On success you gain 10 + the targets ability modifier, one time uses of the creature or races spell-like abilities. On failure, your spell is canceled. If the target creatures CR is higher than your level, you gain 1 point of exhaustion equal to the difference between the targets spell-like ability level and  your spell casting level.

You may only copy 4 unique creature, racial, or spell-like abilities at 6 level, 6 at 10 level, and 8 at 14 level.

Lair actions cannot be copied, and copying a Legendary Action requires the caster make a DC 30 difficulty check. On success you gain one 1d4 uses of the target Legendary Action. On failure, you gain 3 +1d4 exhaustion.

Magical Music Sheet

You may attempt to transcribe any spells or cantrips you know onto any tome sized surface, and each level of the transcribed spell takes 2 hours and cost 50gp. Spells within Magical Music Sheets can be relearned at any time, over the course of 2 hours for each level of the spell. Like, a wizards spellbook, destroying or losing a Magical Music sheet means that a Mockingbard cannot recall the information transcribed onto them until they earn it again. However, unlike a wizards spellbook, Mockingbards cannot prepare any spells or exceed the number of spells in their class.

Working alongside, or being taught the spell or cantrips by the original caster or a being who can cast them, you transcription speed increases depending on your teachers spellcasting level by an amount of time determined by your GM.

Charasmatic Chord

Starting at 6th level you may use your charisma modifier isntead of the specified modifier for every spell or cantrip targeted by Spellsong, or Canchirp.

Spell Symphony

Once per day you may use 1 bonus action to give your next spell you cast one +1 to hit and one additional hit die for every unique class' spell/cantrip you have previously cast this combat.
