Way of the Eyeless Sight

A monk who follows the Way of the Eyeless Sight believes that the eyes are a limitation to be overcome.  Followers of this path harness their ki to be used as an extension of their senses, gaining an understanding of their surroundings beyond what can be obtained through flawed eyes.  They are usually viewed as extremists, as followers often remove their own eyes to better focus their energies.

Eyeless Seeing

Beginning at 3rd level, you have extended your ki beyond your body. You have blindsight for 60 ft.

Ki Aura

Beginning at 3rd level, you may use an action to spend a ki point to create an invisible aura within 5 ft. of your body that lasts for one minute.  Any living creature* that enters this aura is immediately known to you. While your aura is active you cannot be surprised, and melee attacks made by living creatures against you (while within your aura) are made at disadvantage.

You can expend an additional ki point to extend this aura to 10 ft. for the duration.

*Undead and constructs are not detected by your aura.

Spatial Awareness

Beginning at 6th level, you have developed the ability to mentally recreate the battlefield in your mind in real time while your Ki Aura is active.  You have advantage on melee attack rolls against detected creatures within your aura.

Sensory Awakening

Beginning at 6th level, you can now bestow part of your energy into the people around you to broaden their senses.  As a bonus action, you may touch a willing creature and expend one ki point to grant them darkvision for 120 ft. and blindsight for 60 ft. until their next long rest.

Eyeless Seeing (Extended)

At level 11, your Eyeless Seeing enhances as you get better at focusing your ki.  Your blindsight is extended to 120ft, and you gain Tremorsense within 30 ft.

Ki Aura (Enhanced)

At level 11, practice with your Ki Aura has enhanced its usefulness.  As an Action, you may spend a ki point to create an invisible aura within 5 ft. of your body that lasts for one minute.  Any creature that enters this aura (including undead and constructs) is immediately known to you. While your aura is up you cannot be surprised, and melee attacks made by any creatures against you (while within your aura) are made at disadvantage.

You can expend an additional ki point to extend this aura to 10 ft. for the duration.

True Seeing

Beginning at level 11, you can temporarily recreate eyes of pure ki energy that see the world for what it truly is.  As an action, you may expend 2 ki points to gain Truesight for 120 ft. for one minute.

Negative Energy

Beginning at level 17, your Ki Aura is now powerful enough that it harms the minds of enemies within.  Any enemy that enters your Ki Aura for the first time or starts its turn there suffers 2d8 psychic damage.

You may choose to expend up to 5 additional ki points to empower your Ki Aura to deal an additional 2d8 psychic damage per ki point spent for the duration.
