Base Class: Barbarian
The blood of a large and powerful ancestor runs through your veins. Perhaps one of your parents was an ogre. Maybe your tribe consumes the blood of trolls to gain power. Whatever your origins, locked within your humanoid frame lies the strength and fortitude of a monstrous brute. Through the power of your rage, you can unleash it upon your enemies.
Startling Metamorphosis
Your brutish ancestry grants you the ability to alter your physique.
Brutish Physique. When you rage, your monstrous ancestry triggers a physical change in your body, resulting in an alternate form. Whether it’s ogre tusks, the hulking musculature of a giant, the mottled skin of a troll, or some combination of features, this alternate form reflects and suits your origins. Your Alternate form's height and build can be much taller, shorter, bulkier, more muscular, or wider as long as your size category remains unchanged. Your number of limbs remains unchanged.
Intimidating Display. In and out of combat situations, you are able to channel your anger to partially alter your appearance or produce harmless but impressive instantaneous effects. Perhaps you flex your muscles to a disturbing degree. Perhaps your eyes change color or your voice deepens to a bellow during an interrogation. Perhaps you crush a steel goblet in your hands. Whatever you decide, you can use your Strength modifier in place of your Charisma when making intimidation checks.
Burst of Brutish Power
At 3rd level, you gain the ability to tap into your ancestral blood and unleash a burst of brutish power to fuel short but explosive feats of strength and toughness.
While raging, you can use your Burst of Brutish Power ability and you choose which option to use. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus (minimum of once) per long rest. When your rage ends, any benefits granted by this feature also end. Some effects require saving throws. When you use such an effect from this class, the DC equals 8 + your Strength modifier + your Proficiency Bonus. You choose two of the following Burst of Brutish Power options:
At levels 10 and 14, you may only CHOOSE ONE option from either list.
Brute Hide
As an action, your skin takes on the qualities of thick beast hide. You can use your Burst of Brutish Power to gain temporary hit points equal to 3 x your character level. They vanish if any of them are left when your rage ends. Once you have used this feature, you can't use it again until after finishing a short rest.
Starting at level 10, If you are medium or smaller, while you have these temporary hit points your size can become large your melee attacks have 10 ft reach if they don't already. When you lose these hit points, you revert to the your normal size.
Monstrous Smite
Once per turn when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack (including unarmed strikes), you can use a Burst of Brutish Power to deal an extra 2d6 force damage to the target. If the creature is large or smaller, you can knock it prone.
Savage Beating
While raging, and when not wielding a weapon or shield in either hand, you can use a bonus action to expend one of your Burst of Brutish Power to change the damage of your unarmed strikes to force damage. In addition your unarmed strikes gain a damage bonus equal to your proficiency bonus. You receive an additional +1 to your AC. This effect ends if you attack with a weapon, don a shield, or when your rage ends.
Starting at level 10, the additional force damage becomes a d6 . Also, when using this feature your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. When you score a critical hit with an unarmed strike or reduce a creature to 0 hit points with one, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Strike the Ground
You use your action to strike downward and cause the ground within 10 feet of you to shake. Each creature other than you in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone. If the ground in that area is loose earth or stone, it becomes difficult terrain until cleared, with each 5-foot-diameter portion requiring at least 1 minute to clear by hand.
Brute's Reach
At 6th level, you gain access to even more monstrous power. Choose one of the following Burst of Brutish Power options:
At levels 10 and 14 you may only CHOOSE ONE option from either list.
Boulder Throw
Starting at level 6, as a bonus action, you can heft a large rock, boulder, barrel, or similar object above your head. The object must fit within a 5 foot cube. Thereafter, you can use your action to throw the object up to 30 feet (60 foot long range) You use the thrown object as an improvised weapon that you are proficient with. You can use the object to make a ranged attack against a single target within range. The object does force damage equaling 1d10 plus your Strength modifier.
Starting at level 10, you can now lift and throw an object that fits within a 5 foot cube as part of a single action, doing 1d10+your strength modifier in force damage. If you have not moved during this round, you can also choose to use a bonus action to lift an object that fits within a 15 foot cube (If the object is exceptionally heavy or bolted down in someway, if it is possible at all, you must succeed in a Strength athletics check DC 15. After you lift it, your speed becomes 0 until the start of your next turn. Subsequently, you can use an action to throw it to a space within range. Any creature within a 15 foot square, centered on that space must make a Dexterity save, taking 3d10+your strength modifier in force damage on a failure and half on a success. Until you throw the 15 foot square object, your speed is halved (rounded down).
Dwarf Tossing
Choose an unoccupied space within a 30 foot cube. As an action, you can throw a willing, grappled or incapacitated creature that is within 5 feet of you to that space. The creature must be medium or smaller and must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 for every 10 feet (rounded down) it travelled to get to the space. An incapacitated creature automatically fails its save.
Starting at level 10, you can expend an additional use of you Burst of Brutish Power to extend the distance of your throw by another 30 feet. Also, you can now throw a huge or smaller creature. Grappling rules still apply in regards to size.
I'm Unstoppable!
Once you get going, it takes an incredible force to slow you down.
As a bonus action, you can expend one of your Bursts of Brutish Power to grant yourself increase mobility and momentum. You increase your movement speed by 10 feet and gain a climbing and swimming speed equal to your total walking speed. When dashing, you can move through difficult terrain as if it were normal terrain. The effect ends when your rage ends.

All creatures, other than you, within 5 feet of the space you land take force damage equal to your strength modifier. To use this feature, your feet must be touching a surface or object they can use to push off from. If the space you choose to end your 30 foot leap is in mid air, the attack ends and you immediately begin to fall and take fall damage as normal.
Brutish Recovery
You have learned to recover some of your brutish power between battles. Once per day, when you finish a short rest, you can replenish all expended uses of your Burst of Brutish Power.
At level 10, you can use this feature twice per day.
