Base Class: Monk
Monks that follow the tradition of the Performer are often mistaken for minstrels or Bards. Their musical ability comes from their manipulation of Ki. A monk may use Ki to stun one or multiple targets with the power of their voice, or their instrument to lull an enemy to sleep. Much like Bards, these Monks use their bardic abilities and knowledge of history to inspire those around them through sheer musical, lyrical, or physical ability. These Monastic Performers are every bit as dangerous as they are wonderful.
The Performing Arts
You have learned to channel your Ki into your dances and songs. When you choose this subclass at level 3 you gain the ability to use your bonus action to spend a Ki point during a melee attack or just by itself to grant an ally Monastic Inspiration.
Monastic Inspiration may be used on any ability check or saving throw, as well as attacks.
You may also only use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier plus half your proficiency bonus rounded down.
This inspiration may be used on any dexterity or wisdom check, and the die rolled is a D4. At level 7 it increases to a D6, and at level 15 it increases to a D8.
Additionally, you have proficiency in the Performance and Persuasion skills. If you already have proficiency with these then you may double your proficiency bonus. You also gain proficiency with a musical instrument of your choice. If you already are proficient with one, you may choose a second.
Enchanting Song
When you take this subclass, at 6th level you gain the ability to charm targets.
As a bonus action you may spend a Ki point during your attack action, upon a hit the target must make a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you for one minute. The creature may attempt at the beginning of its turns to break the charm. Charisma is your spell casting ability for this. If you choose to charm a target in this way, they take no damage from your attack, and are instead charmed.
Enthrall the Mind
When you reach 11th level with this subclass you may expend 2 Ki points and cast Dominate Person. Charisma is your spell casting ability for this.
With Friends Like These...
When you reach 17th level in this subclass you may expend 3 Ki points as a bonus action and you may make unarmed attacks against an opponent under the effects of an Enchantment Spell and if the spell states that if they are damaged while under the effects the spell ends you ignore this.
Additionally, you can spend 2 Ki points as a bonus action and grant disadvantage to an entity that must make a saving throw against a spell, using your knowledge of persuasion and distraction to throw an enemy off balance.
