Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

On the battlefield, anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. As such, the Combat Survivalist employs technique and resourcefulness in order to mitigate as much of it as possible. Utilizing a mix of light weapons as well as unarmed strikes, the Combat Survivalist is always prepared to strike down foes, and keep himself safe out of harm’s way. The tenacity of this subclass of rogues are not to be taken lightly.

First Contact

When in battle, losing one’s weapon is a very likely probability, yet one that easily spells death. To combat this, you hone your unarmed skills. Not of any known martial arts, but one unique to surviving on the battlefield. When making unarmed attacks, you may add your dexterity modifier to your attack and damage rolls, and your unarmed strikes count as a weapon for sneak attack.

In addition, you may use your bonus action to perform an Unarmed Strike.

Fighting Dirty

In a situation of life and death, honor won’t buy your life. Be it a thumb in the eye, or a handful of sand, resourcefulness will earn you some respite in the field.

Starting at level 3, as a reaction, you may expend a charge to impose disadvantage on an enemy's attack within 5 feet of you. Additionally, when you succeed in making an unarmed attack on a creature who is wielding a weapon or a shield, you may expend a charge to attempt to disarm them. Upon failing a Strength (Athletics) check or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, they are disarmed of one of their weapons or shield of your choosing.

Disarm DC = 10 + your Dexterity modifier

The number of times you can use this feature increases by 1 at levels 7, 9, 13 and 17. You regain 1 charge of this feature upon finishing a short rest, and all charges upon finishing a long rest.

Combat Grit

There are moments in battle where failing is not an option, harness your iron will and fight through the pain, to live another day.

Starting at 9th level, when an enemy's damage roll would cause your Hit Points to drop to 0 or below,  regain Hit Points based on your Rogue class level and Constitution Modifier. The Hit Points are regained before the damage is dealt. You regain use of this feature upon finishing a long rest.

Hit Points Regained = Rogue Class Level + your Constitution modifier.

Battle Hardened

Through many fights and near death incidents, you hardened your mind to solely focus on survival and the heat of battle.

From level 13 onwards, you gain proficiency with Constitution and Wisdom saving throws if you don’t already have proficiency.

Tactical Mind

Every attack is an opportunity. A slice of a knife, the sweep of a blade, or the thrust of a staff, all opportunities for you to scour to safety, or grant an ally a more opportune moment to strike. Starting at 17th level, whenever you roll for damage against a creature, you may choose one of the following effects to occur:

  • The creature may not make attacks of opportunity against you for the rest of your turn.
  • You may provide the help action against the creature you rolled damage against
