Base Class: Monk
A monk who specializes in attuning to the energies in the earth and harnessing them against his or her foes.
Earthen Attunement
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast Maximilian’s Earthen Grasp, earthbind, pass without trace, or find traps, without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the mold earth cantrip if you don’t already know it.
Magnetic Force
At 6th level, you gain the ability to draw upon the power of the earth and attach yourself easily to the walls or ceiling. As a bonus action you can create a magnetic force underneath your feet that allows you to move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving your hands free for 1 minute. You also gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. You can also use your reaction at any point during this time to remain standing if you would be knocked prone or pushed away from your current spot.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Unyielding Presence
At level 11, you have learned to harness the earth's power as a passive defense. When using Patient Defense, you become even harder to strike as the earth itself reinforces your defenses. Whenever you use Patient Defense, increase your AC by 3. In addition, you may make an attack of opportunity when an enemy creature moves to any space within 5 feet of you.
Shaky Ground
At 17th level, you can summon the earth at a moment's notice to protect your allies from attacks. You cause the ground underneath their feet to give way slightly, impeding their attack. Whenever a creature within 15 ft. of you is hit by an attack made by a creature other than you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage.
