Way of the Blade Storm

Monks trained in the way of the blade storm have spent years practising with their signature weapon, the double bladed scimitar. On the battle field the monk themselves are the tranquil, calm and focused eye of the storm, while their blades are the swirling hurricane able to slaughter with ease.

Unleashing the Storm

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain access to an intricate and beautiful weapon which you have kept locked away, probably in a sword case until you were prepared to wield the storm. You are now proficient with a double-bladed scimitar, and as well, you now own one without having to go buy or find one. If you already owned one you do not gain an additional double-bladed scimitar. To you double-bladed scimitar's have the finesse trait.

Fury of the Storm

At 6th level, you can add your martial arts die to the damage of your first attack, and first bonus action attack made with your double-bladed scimitar. Additionally when you use your bonus action to attack with your double-bladed scimitar, you may attack twice rather than once.

Blade Flurry

At 11th level, you can expend 1 ki point to add your martial arts die to every attack made by your double bladed scimitar for the rest of the round.

Blade Storm

At 17th level, your training with your weapon makes you an a force to be reckoned with. If you use patient defense, until your next turn, if an enemy attempts to attack you and misses, you may take the attack action against them without expending your reaction. Additionally if you deal 35 damage to a creature and still have attacks left with your double-bladed scimitar this turn, you may choose to make these attacks critical hits. Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest. As well as this once per long rest you can use storm surge to expend 3 ki points to turn an attack with your double-bladed scimitar into a critical hit.
