Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

The Combat Medic is trained both in fighting and in tending to the wounds of their companions. Where others use magic, the Combat Medic is instead familiar with the Healer's Kit and studies enemies' vital spots to inhibit their movement.

Field Aid

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Medicine skill if you don't already have it. You can also expend a use of your Healer's Kit as an action to heal a creature in touch range and have it regain hit points equal to 1d8 + your proficiency bonus + your wisdom modifier.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your fighter level and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Crippling Strike

At 7th level, once per round when you take the attack action with a weapon you are proficient with, you can have one of your weapon attacks be a crippling strike. You must announce the crippling strike before making the attack roll. On a hit with an announced crippling strike, the target takes damage equal to the weapon's regular damage and must also succeed on a constitution save against a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier. On a failed save, the target is crippled and has disadvantage on attacks and its movement is halved until the end of its next turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your fighter level and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Grievous Wounds

At 10th level, when you hit a creature with a Crippling Strike, but before they make the constitution saving throw, you can announce, that you also attempt to grievously wound it. When the creature fails the constitution saving throw against the Crippling Strike, the creature is also paralyzed until the end of its next turns.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier (minimum of +1) and regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Improved Field Aid

At 15th level, you can now expend a use of your healer's kit as a bonus action. Additionally, you gain expertise in the Medicine skill if you don't already have it.

Improved Crippling Strike

At 18th level, your Crippling Strike target's speed becomes 0, and it can’t benefit from any bonus to its speed.
