Posted Jul 21, 2022Really really overpowered. Reckless stance is insane. Being able to take the attack action twice in one round every round is INSANE. The fighter gets action surge at second level and that is extremely limited in use. Even just allowing one attack as a bonus action with no extra attack would be over powered with the paladin's toolkit, but it would be a start, that or some kind of drawback like the name "reckless" implies.
Channel divinity - Might of Rebellion is also super overpowered. At second level you get an invincibility spell that makes you immune to all damage? Also it's super poorly worded. There are no spelling errors or anything but it's super vague what this actually does. Are all attack rolls against you instantly blocked?
Blessings of Rebellion: Are these spells automatically prepared or added to the spell list? This seems like a strange feature in that it just gives you a bunch of low level spells. Suddenly this is one of the most magical paladins and the best martial.
Improved reckless stance: is also weird in that you get a bunch of highly powerful free smites. The damage on this build is getting insane but at least it scales with dexterity which is another super odd choice as there are no dex based paladins.
Mastered reckless stance is also super duper weird. It does automatic damage with no save or anything twice per short rest. The only thing saving this from being overpowered is the fact that it comes on at level 15. But I still think there should be an attack roll for this.
I won't criticize the capstone because it's a level 20 ability and will rarely see play. Again the automatic damage is too much though.
