College of Sea Shanties

Bards of the College of Sea Shanties are taught that they can make their songs well known by traveling the world on boat. The College of Sea Shanties is taught by former pirate captain and people with great knowledge of the seven seas. They often join pirate crews and help the captain by sharing their great knowledge of the sea.

Bonus Proficiencies

At third level, your experiences with pirates cause you to learn thieves' cant and gain proficiency with thieves' tools alongside gaining proficiencies with athletics, acrobatics, and intimidation.

Bard of the Sea

Also at third level, your new found sea legs allow you to be able to expend one bardic inspiration die to gain advantage against being knock prone. You also learn the "Create or Destroy Water" spell. The new spell does not subtract from the amount of 1st level spells you can learn, but does use spell slots.

The Waves' Protection

At sixth level, the waves will see you as a friend causing them to teach you to speak Aquan. They also teach you the spells Shape Water and Wall of Water. These new spells do not count against the amount of cantrips and third level spells you can learn, but Wall of Water uses spell slots.

One with the Water

You can spend one bardic inspiration die to transform into a water elemental for 1 minute (10 rounds). You also learn the spells Black Tentacles and Control Water. The spells do not count against the number of fourth level spells you can learn, but they do use spell slots. You cannot cast spells while transformed but you can keep concentration on old ones.
