Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Nature binds a paladin to the ideal of protecting nature itself, for what can be more important to one's deity but preserving it's creations. Sometimes called green knights, swords of nature, or druid knights, these paladins work to protect and preserve nature, acting with honor in pursuit of defending anything from a forest to the material plane itself. They differ from druids as they do not serve nature itself, but rather work to make sure no one destroys or corrupts it due to the belief that things created by their deity must be holy and be defended. Just how widely this is applied can differ between individuals, while some strive to defend forests or rivers others will try to fight forces from other planes that might damage the material plane. Many who swear this oath are devoted to gods of creation, nature and harvest and use their gods’ tenets as the measure of their devotion. They view druids—the perfect servants of nature—as idealized role models, and incorporate images of nature (particularly trees) into their helmets or coats of arms.
