Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

After experiencing it in its purest and strongest form, you have caught the attention of Despair, of the Endless.
You take this and infuse it into everything that you do; using Despair to amplify your influence over the world and the mortals around you. Despair exists as the personification of the emotion and resides over the realm.

You will harm yourself in order to inspire despair in the hearts of those around you, helping your allies by debuffing your enemies as well as having a good source of damage output.

Weapon of Great-Despair

Starting 3rd level, when you take this archetype you gain the ability to siphon energy from the Realm of Despair and condense it into a Two-Handed Weapon of your choice as a bonus action.

This weapon lasts until you dispel it as a bonus action or until it leaves your hand for more than 6 seconds.

Brand of Despair

Starting 3rd level, your control over the Despair in the world surrounding you allows you to focus it into a target that you can see; in order to do so you must first experience and control your own pain and anguish, manipulating it and forcing it onto someone's mind.

When you attack an enemy with your Crimson Rite, you can attempt to inflict them with a Despair effect. You roll your Haeomcraft die and lose that much HP.
The target makes a CHA save against your Spell Save DC; on a failed save they become Despaired: their movement speed is halved and they cannot take reactions.

Additionally, when the Despaired target makes an attack against a creature that you can see, you can use your reaction to remove damage from the attack equal to 1 Haemocraft Die.

You can only have this effect on one target at a time.

You can have this effect on an additional target at levels 11, 15 and 18

Despairing Step

Starting 7th level, your control of people's Despair is strong enough that you are able to forge into armour and empower yourself; allowing you to travel in the blink of an eye.

Whenever you deal damage to an enemy in any way, you gain 1 temporary hit point (Your Haemocraft takes health from your HP not your THP).
While you have temporary hit points you can use a bonus action to teleport to a spot you can see within 30ft of you; you leave the THP behind as a shimmering image of you that targets will attack.

Additionally, when you reduce a Despaired target to 0 hit points, you regain HP equal to your Haemocraft die.

Spreading Desperation

Starting 15th level, you can spread Despair further to affect more of your enemies.

When you attack an enemy that already is Despaired, you can cause an enemy that can see the attack within 10ft to roll a save against also being Despaired.

Additionally, whenever you reduce a Despaired enemy to 0 hit points, you gain THP equal to a Haemocraft Die.

Terrifying Presence

Starting 11th level, your control of people's Despair is strong enough that you are able to concentrate it and enforce it on those around you to disable them and empower yourself.

When you have your Brand of Castigation and Brand of Despair active on the same target at the same time, the target retreats into themself and is no longer a threat; they break down into tears and become stunned until one of the brands is removed from them.

You can also have Despair on 2 targets at any time.

Additionally, you gain 1 additional THP for each brand active on the target you damage with a melee attack; also the Image can now move, losing 1HP for every 5ft of movement.
If the image is within 5ft of an enemy, you can command the image to try and enter the target's psyche, causing them to roll a CON save with a negative modifier equal to the THP of the image.

Finally, you can use a bonus action to roll your Haemocraft die and take this number away from your HP; you also take either what you roll or your INT modifier away from any enemies that are Despaired or suffering from your Brand of Castigation (enemies suffering from both receive double).

Strength in Hopelessness

Starting 18th level, you embody Despair so strongly that you spread it to those around you and empower yourself as those that you inspire fear and anguish within are relieved of their lives.

When you deal damage to a branded enemy with a melee attack, you now gain 1 additional THP for every brand active on other targets: also the image can make a melee weapon attack with the stats of your Despair Weapon (It cannot receive bonuses from rites or brands). The image loses 1 THP for each point of damage it deals.
