Bard
Base Class: Bard

Dancing has existed since before recorded history. From the mating dances of birds to the rain dance of ancient tribal peoples, dance has been a part of nature. As a Dancer, you have used your bardic training to combine the arcane magics of your music with your study of movement. Your every step becomes infused with magic. Throwing off heavy and confining armors you are able to dodge and weave around your enemies attacks and even make attacks as the whirling dervishes of far off cultures.

Your base movement becomes the fuel used to power new abilities. Magic that affects your base movement can impact how much of your movement is available to you. (For example the spells Longstrider or Slow, as well as the monk * Unarmored Movement * ability add to your base movement speed, but a dash action does not directly affect your base movement.) Your spellcasting action (now called Spell Dancing) can now coincide with your movement phase. It now becomes important to try and "save" some of your movement to use with your other abilities.

Bonus Proficiency

As you become a dancer at level 3, you gain proficiency with flexible weapons such as the whip, net, as well as the Drum (if you do not already possess that tool proficiency).

Dancer's Defense

As a dancer at level 3, you are able to use your training to move and weave around attacks. You must not be wearing any armor, cary no shield, and not wield any 2 handed weapons for this to affect your AC. Your armor class is calculated as 10 + Dexterity modifier + Charisma modifier.

In addition, you can now get up from a prone position as a free action using only 5' of your movement.

Spell-Dancing

Once you choose this college at level 3, you now use dance (somatic component) in place of any vocal and material componants for your spells as long as you have room to move. Casting spells in this way is combined with your movement. You must move at least 10 feet for each level of the spell being cast. You may decide to not move from your current position, but must still expend your movement as you dance in place. The spell takes effect at the end of your movement. You still must expend spell slots to cast spells.
Being silenced does not affect your spellcasting, however being restrained can. You can still use vocal components and cast as normal for any bard if you wish, but only for spells of level 1 or 2, as your more advanced arcane studies becomes focused on your dancing. You must not be wearing any armor or wielding any shield or 2-handed weapons while spell-dancing.

At higher levels, the amount of movement used to power your spells is reduced. At level 6, the movement needed is 5’ per spell level. At level 14, the movement needed is 2.5’ per spell level.

Dance of Rest

At level 3, you can use a relaxing dance performance instead of singing for your song of rest ability.
This ability can instead be used in conjunction with another bard's song of rest, allowing an additional 1d6 of healing based on your level.

Graceful Defense

At level 6, you have become more proficient with your dancer's defense. As a reaction, you may now add your proficiency bonus to you AC as long as you have at least 5 feet of movement  available to spend at the end of your turn.

Additionally, you may take the Dash action as a bonus action.

Whirling Dirvish

Now at level 14, as an action using all of your movement you spin around in place making several attacks on a single target. For each 10' of movement used in this way, you make an attack with a weapon in your main hand. You may also make an attack with your offhand if you are dual-wielding 2 light weapons. You gain advantage on these attacks.

After using this feature, for your next round your movement is reduced to 0' and your opponents have advantage on attacks against you.
