Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Eldritch Protectors are fierce warriors and stalwart defenders, enhancing their fighting capabilities through eldritch means. Some fighters have studied the powers of mind flayers, using their abilities to boost their own skills. Others might have a close encounter with an eldritch being, altering them forever. Maybe you have learned this fighting style by copying and learning a Warlocks power, using this training to improve your prowess. Whatever the source of your power, you can use it to cloud an opponent's mind, forcing aggression on you, and hitting multiple targets with one attack.

Eldritch Swipe

3rd-level Eldritch Protector feature

Starting at level 3, you have learned to charge your weapon with eldritch energy, which explodes on impact. As a Bonus Action, you can charge your attack, dealing an extra 1d4 + your Charisma Modifier force damage if you hit the target. This damage also spreads to all enemies within 5 feet of the original target. The weapon stays charged until a hit is made, or at the end of a long or short rest.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a short or long rest.

Muddled Mind

7th-level Eldritch Protector feature

Starting at level 7, you can use your eldritch powers to confuse and anger an enemies’ mind, taunting them. Whenever you use your Eldritch Swipe, you can force an enemy to make a Charisma Saving Throw. If the target fails, its mind becomes clouded, becoming fixated on you for 10 minutes. The enemy can’t attack another target other than you, and intends on hunting you. You gain +1 AC for every creature under this influence, losing it when the target escapes your taunt. You can target two enemies at once at level 10, and unlimited enemies at level 18.

The taunted creature can make a Charisma Saving Throw at the end of its turn to stop the effect. Your Muddled Mind saving throw DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier. The enemy must have a mind to target, else the feature fails immediately.

Alien Presence

10th-level Eldritch Protector feature

Starting at level 10, your eldritch capabilities increase in power, granting improved boons. The damage from your Eldritch Swipes increases to 2d4 + your Charisma modifier force damage, and you can taunt 2 targets with the same Eldritch Swipe. Additionally, whenever you enter combat without a use of Eldritch Swipe, you gain 1 use.

Lastly, your alien mind grants you proficiency in one social skill.

Eldritch Discharge

15th-level Eldritch Protector
Your enhanced control over your powers give you the opportunity to give a quick shock to an enemy. Whenever you successfully taunt an enemy through Muddled Mind, you charge the enemy's mind with a jolt of eldritch energy, dealing force damage equal to half your Fighter level.

You also gain +1 on all your saving throws for each creature under the influence of Muddled Mind, losing it when a creature ends the taunt.

Eldritch Control

18th-level Eldritch Protector Feature
Starting at level 18, you have mastered your otherworldly powers, becoming a powerful foe on the battlefield. Your Eldritch Swipe now deals 3d4 + your Charisma modifier force damage on a successful hit. Also, every enemy hit by Eldritch Swipe can be a target for Muddled Mind simultaneously. As usual, your AC and Saving Throw bonuses increase and decrease in correspondence with the amount of targets under influence at once.
