Base Class: Druid

As all things must end, and so must life and nature. Decay and death are natural parts of the life cycle and as such there are those who seek to progress this stage. Druids of the Circle of the Macabre know the importance of death so that life may progress. 

Touch of Necrosis

Starting at 2nd level, as an action you can expend 1 use of your wild shape to make a melee spell attack against any creature within 5ft of you that isn't an undead or construct. On a hit the target takes 1d10 necrotic damage and must succeed on a constitution saving throw. On a failed save the creature is afflicted with a curse for the next 1 minute. At the end of a cursed creatures turn it must succeed a constitution saving throw or take 1d6 necrotic damage. A creature can only be afflicted by 1 curse at a time.

The initial damage increase to 2d10 [6th], 3d10 [10th], 4d10 [14th], and 5d10 [18th]. Additionally at 14th level you can ignore the creature type limit.

Circle Spells

Your connection with death and its cycles grants you necromantic spells.
Once you gain access to a circle spell, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

2nd level: Bane, Inflict Wounds

3rd level: Ray of enfeeblement, Blindness/Deafness

5th level: Stinking Cloud, Bestow Curse

7th level: Death Ward, Blight

9th level: Cloudkill, Contagion

Distortion of Life

Starting at 6th level, you gain resistance to poison and necrotic damage, you have advantage on saving throws against poison, and whenever you are effected by a spell or other magical affect you can decide if you are considered an undead instead of your default creature type.

Restoration Through Death

Starting at 10th level, whenever you kill a creature, you regain 2d6 hit points and any excess becomes temporary hit points. If you kill a creature using one of your circle spells or with your Touch of Necrosis you instead regain 3d6 hit points.

Once you have used this feature you cannot do so again until you expend a spell slot or use your Touch of Necrosis.

Deathly Impunity

Starting at 14th level, your touch of necrosis can affect any creature; additionally you gain immunity to poison damage, and the poisoned, charmed, and frightened conditions.
