A chronomancer could be mentioned in several different pieces of history spanning several centuries while keeping balance to the timeline. Chronomancers will go where they are most needed when time pirates or power hungery chronodragons jump to different times to gain objects of lost lore or civilizations. You work to bring balance to time and hone your skills.

Chronomancy Savant

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a chronomancy spell into your spellbook is halved.

Precognition

At 2nd level, you also gain the ability to inform your past self about future events. When you finish a short rest, you send a whisper through time to your past self giving him information about the future. You can swap out an attunement slot or two prepared spells for spells you didn’t prepare. Any impact this change could have made to the timeline is up to the DM's discretion. You can’t use this feature again until you take a long rest.

Chronomancy Spells

The following spells are considered Chronomancy spells for you:

Cantrip: Rift in Time, Halt

1st: Expedious Retreat, Revert Time

2nd: Chronosphere, Hold Person

3rd: Haste, Slow, Time Bomb

5th: Enervation, Legend Lore, Riddle

6th: Contingency

8th: Rip in Time

9th: Foresight, Quantum Jump, Time Stop

Rewind

At 6th level, you are better able to control time in a particular space. You can rewind time in a 5ft cube up to a full day. This does not affect creatures that are either in the spot or were previously. However, it does interact with objects. Uses could include repairing a broken column that was the only thing from stopping the ceiling from collapsing or repair a book that feel into a river. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier (minimum of 1). All expended uses are recharged after a long rest.

Chaos Theory

Starting at 10th level, by manipulating the flow of time, you can explore possible multiple branches of the future. Before taking your action, you may use your bonus action to view two different actions simultaneously. With both actions, you see the result of the full action. Afterwards, you come back to present and choose one of the actions to use. You can use this feature a number of times equal to half your intelligence modifier (rounded down) per short rest.

Causal Paradox

Starting at 14th level, you receive spells that your future self sent backwards through space and time. At any time, you can choose a spell of 5th level or lower and casting time of one action or bonus action from your spellbook whether you have it prepared or not. The effects of the spell spontaneously occur, with no action required. If the spell requires concentration, it immediately ends unless you mentally seize it and begin concentration.

Once you use this feature, you enter causal debt and cannot cast spells as normal until you cast the chosen spell backwards in time. You must make an ability check using your spellcasting modifier with the DC equal to 10 + the level of the spell to cast any spells until you repay the debt as the time flow tries to right itself. On a failed check, the time flow absorbs the spell and causes it to fail while expending the spell slot.

You must cast the spell backwards in time to fix the timeline. Since its effects have already occurred, it has no effect at the time of casting. You must take a short rest to send this spell in time as you meticulously pulled the weave apart to expose the timelime. You cannot use this feature again until the debt has been paid.
