Base Class: Barbarian
All Barbarians channel their rage in different ways, you have learnt to channel your rage through your voice, allowing you to let out intense and threatening battle crys that can both aid your allies and hinder opponents.
Battle Cry
You have learnt how to channel your rage into a powerful battle cry that buffs your allies and hinders your opponents. When you pick this subclass at 3rd level, you gain the ability to let out a mighty battle cry. When you begin your rage, you let out a loud scream that can be heard from 30ft away. All allied creatures that hear your cry gain temporary hit points equal to Your Proficiency Bonus + your Barbarian Level.
At 8th Level, you can add your Rage Damage Bonus to the amount of temporary hit points gained.
All hostile creatures who hear your cry must make Charisma Saving Throw. The DC is equal to 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + your Charisma Modifier. On a failed save, they take 1d8 + your Charisma Modifier thunder damage and are frightened for as long as you are raging. On a successful save, they take half damage and are not frightened. A creature that successfully saves against this feature cannot be effected by it again for 24 hours.
At 8th Level, you can add your Rage Damage bonus to the damage dealt with this ability. At 14th level, the damage die increases to 2d8.
Resonating Screams
At 6th Level you have honed your battle cries and gained proper control over your voice. As a bonus action on your turn while you are raging, you can repeat the effects of your Battle Cry feature. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You regain all uses after a long rest.
Destructive Interference
At 10th level, you have gained an understanding of sound and have become resistant to it's effects. If a creature within 30ft of you (including yourself) would take thunder damage, you can use your reaction to give that creature resistance to that thunder damage. (E.g. Brutus takes 5 Slashing Damage and 6 Thunder Damage from the enemies Sword of Thunders. Using your reaction, you can halve the thunder damage they take, but not the slashing damage, leaving the damage at 5 Slashing Damage and 3 Thunder Damage)
In addition, if the attacking creature is within 30ft of you, you can make a ranged attack as apart of the same reaction. The damage you deal with this attack is equal to 1d8 + your Charisma Modifier.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus. You regain all uses after you finish a long rest.
Improved Battle Cry
At 14th level, you have perfected your battle cries magic, unlocking the full potential of your charisma. You gain the following benefits:
- Any creature granted temporary hit points from your Battle Cry feature gains a bonus to their weapon attack and damage rolls equal to your Rage Damage bonus.
- Any creature frightened by your Battle Cry feature gets a penalty to their weapon attack rolls equal to your Rage Damage bonus.
