Base Class: Monk

 Monks of the Way of the Silent have perfected the art of stealth and covert operations. Although they prefer to avoid conflict, when provoked, they can strike quickly and unexpectedly, disappearing almost as fast. They learn techniques to confuse their foes and leave them wondering where they went.

No Closed Doors

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to open locks almost as effectively as a rogue. You gain proficiency in thief's tools if you didn't have it already.

 

Camouflage

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you've learned to take advantage of your surroundings, becoming part of the environment. You become proficient in Stealth if you weren't already, and you can Hide as a bonus action.

 

Smoke Bombs

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you learn how to create smoke bombs to escape undetected. When you choose this tradition, you receive three smoke bombs. You also have a contact in every town and city who will sell you smoke bombs. Smoke bombs cost 20 gold, or you can buy the materials for 10 gold and craft one smoke bomb with one hour of work. As a bonus action, you can throw a smoke bomb at your feet. Until the end of your next turn, you have advantage on stealth checks in a 10ft radius sphere. Any creatures (enemy or ally) in the same sphere have disadvantage on Perception checks and attack rolls.

 
 

Wall Climb

At 6th level, you learn to move in ways others can not. You gain a climbing speed equal to half your movement. You can also cast Spider Climb on yourself once per long rest.

 
 

Serpent Style

At 11th level, you learn to strike like a deadly cobra. When you make an single unarmed strike, you can choose to make it a Snake Strike. You must make this choice before you attack. If you hit, your target must make a Constitution save against your Ki save DC. On a failure, they are poisoned. They can repeat this save at the end of each of their turns. The effect ends on a successful save or after a minute. You can use this ability as many times as equal to your Wisdom modifier, and regain all expended uses after a long rest.

 

Slip Unseen

At 17th level, you can move anywhere unseen. As an action, you can cast Greater Invisibility on yourself. You can do this an amount of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all charges after a long rest.
