Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Two unique entities are in competition over your soul and patronage. They both grant you pieces of their magic and blessings to use for progress towards their own goals, often disregarding your own wishes. You may favor one of your patrons, or resist both of them, despising the 2 beings presiding over you thoughts and choices. Generally a dual patron pact comes about when 2 forces war over possession of an individuals soul, eventually both becoming tethered to that person. Occasionally each patron may shower the warlock with blessings and gifts to convince the warlock to favor them, and a dual patron warlock may end up with some peculiar talents as a result of said process. Other times, a powerful or greedy warlock may seek to bind multiple entities to its will, ending in a strange dual patron agreement that rarely satisfies any parties in a pact.

Arcane Counterbalance

At 1st level, when you hit a spell attack (including aoe), you can control the amount of damage it does. You must roll damage normally, and then you can decide a specific damage number within the maximum that you rolled. If this is for an aoe spell, you can choose different damage numbers for each creature affected by the spell.

Contrastive Nature

At 6th level, when you roll in a contest with another creature (ex. resisting a grapple or using deception vs insight), you can use a bonus action to roll as if you had proficiency. If you already have proficiency, roll as if you have expertise. If you already have expertise, you’re out of luck. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, with a short rest recharging 1 use and a long rest recharging all uses.

Weaknesses in the Weave

At 10th level, you can use an action to target an enemy and amplify their weaknesses. You perform and arcane rite on an enemy within 300 feet of you, that you can see. The enemy must perform a charisma saving throw. On a successful save, nothing happens. On a failed save, the next time this enemy takes damage that it is vulnerable to, it takes triple the damage instead of double. You must take a long rest to recharge this action.

Doubled Destiny

At 14th level, when you have advantage on a weapon attack or non-aoe spell attack, you can trade that advantage to instead make 2 attacks. Both of these attacks must be against the same target, this feature doesn’t apply for opportunity attacks. If you make two spell attacks with this feature, you don’t use a second spell slot.
