College of the Puppeteer

" How childish, playing with toys." the bards of more "professional" colleges jeer and jest, but the Puppeteer simply laughs along with them. While a way with words might not be their strongest suit, bards of this College would much rather actively pull strings than recite some tale or song that everyone already knows the ending of. 

Tool Proficiency

3rd-level Puppeteer feature

You gain proficiency with smith’s tools. If you already have this proficiency, you gain proficiency with one other type of artisan’s tools of your choice.

Puppet Master

3rd-level Puppeteer feature

Through trial and applause you have gained the ability to create a set of three faithful puppets. Your puppets friendly to you and and your companions, and it obeys your commands. As a Bonus Action you may summon one of your puppets. The summoned puppet remains at your service for 1 hour or until dismissed, dies in combat, or concentration maintaining a connection between you and the puppet is broken, as if you were concentrating on a spell, in which case the puppet immediately falls to the ground incapacitated. You may summon a puppet up to your Proficiency Bonus (PB) (min 1) per long rest.

Medium Puppet

In combat, the Puppet shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It cannot move or use actions on its own. If you become incapacitated or move 60ft apart - your puppet falls to the ground incapacitated until retrieved. 

Ventriloquism

6th-level Puppeteer feature

While summoned, you can cast spells as though your Puppet as though you were in its' space, but you must use your own senses. Additionally, the range of which your Puppet can be from you an extra 30 feet. 

Improved Puppet Master

14th-level Puppeteer feature

You may now expend two of your summoning slots and with the same Bonus Action summon two of your Puppets being either Tiny or Small size. 

Or, you may now expend three summoning and summon a Large sized puppet. It follows all the same parameters as listed in in the 3rd level Puppet Master feature and uses the game stats below.
