The Winter Domain concentrates on cold, darkness and frost. It is the domain of the darkest and coldest time of the year, or simply either cold or darkness. The gods with such portfolios may have many different agendas, but most seek to make the world a colder place. Any god over darkness, cold or ice can be associated with the Winter Domain.

Caller of Cold

Starting at 1sr level, your god enhance your body with his powers. You gain resistance to cold damage and cast more efficient spells based on cold. Whenever you deal cold damage through a spell attack, you may add your cleric level plus your wisdom modifier to the damage dealt. 

Channel Divinity: Winter Weather

As an action, you channel the power of your god into your surroundings. For the next minute, the entire area within 150 ft. of you suffers from the following effects:

  • A dark cloud covers the sky, and the area is lightly obscured by the resulting darkness
  • The temperature drops with 30 degrees Celsius, and large amounts of snow start to fall from the dark cloud.
  • Strong winds blows, cresting a loud noice. All perception checks that rely on hearing are made with disadvantage. 

When the duration of the channel divinity is over (1 minute), you may expend one spell slot to increase the duration. The duration increased is 1d6 per slot level rounds. Once the duration is over, the winds and the dark cloud disappears immediately. The temperature returns to normal after 2d6 rounds, and the snow melts away during the course of 2d4 rounds. 

Dark Cold

When your reach 6th level, any spell attack you make which deal cold damage or lowers the temperature may also create darkness. The darkness created is a 10 foot cube per slot level, and covers the area around where the spell was cast. The darkness can be removed by any spell that creates light, or by a particularly strong source of light such as bright daylight, a lightning bolt or a massive lamp. Ordinary light can only illuminate the created darkness after 1 hour of it’s creation.

Aura of Cold

Beginning at 8th level, the divine power you pray to infuse you with an aura of cold. The temperature is always below 0 Celsius within 2 feet of you, and the area from 15 feet around you is always below 5 Celsius. Furthermore, you gain immunity to cold damage.

Call of Winter

When you reach 17th level, your god grants you the power to make winter manifest around you. Once per long rest you can cast control weather, and create the conditions Arctic Cold for temperature, Storm for wind and Blizzard for precipitation.
