Base Class: Bard
While most bards sing of tales of great bravery and epic conquests, there are those who sing songs about sorrow. These Bards believe in the power of sadness and to teach people lesson in appreciating miserable moments in people's life for there is no knowing how it feels to be happy until one knows how it feels to be sad.
Dwelling On The Past
We look back on our sad experiences and learn from them. Starting at level 3 when you join the College of Melancholy, you gain proficiency in History. You add your Charisma modifier to all History checks.
You also gain resistance to psychic damage for your sad experiences have made your mental tougher.
Sharing Sadness
Sadness will feel more bearable when it is shared. Also at level 3, when you use your Bardic Inspiration feature, you can target two creatures instead of one. These creatures however, have to roll the Bardic Inspiration Die twice and take the lowest result. Both creatures must be within 60 feet of you.
Feel What I Feel!
At 6th level, you learn how to inflict sadness to other creatures. As a bonus action you can force a creature within 60 feet of you to make a Charisma Saving Throw or suffer depression for 1 minute (subtract 1d4 from the attack rolls or saving throws). The creature can make a Charisma Saving Throw to get rid of this effect at the end of its turn. You can use this bonus action a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Karma
Experienced in the art of sadness, you learn to teach others about the consequences of their actions. At level 14, you gain the ability of inflicting Karma to your enemies. If you or any of your allies within 60 feet of you fail a saving throw forced by another creature, you can use your reaction to inflict psychic damage to that creature equal to twice your Bardic Inspiration Die + your Charisma Modifier. Furthermore, until the end of the creature's next turn, when it needs to roll any saving throws, it must do so with disadvantage.
You can use this feature once per long rest or spend a third level spell slot or higher to use it again.
