Base Class: Ranger
You take control of 3 avian birds to aid you in and out of battle. Each bird specializes in their own respected field, some being natural born hunters, and others being excellent couriers. As you progress your understanding of the avian culture, so to your capabilities to command multiple birds, and if these birds trust you enough, they may even risk their life for you.
Bird Whisperer
As a bonus action, you can call upon a mystical bird which uses your proficiency bonus (PB) and wisdom modifier in several places.
In combat, the beast acts during your turn. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action, of which the options vary depending on the type of bird.
The bird remains for 1 minute, after which it disappears. You can summon these birds a number of times equal to double your proficiency bonus, and may only have one at a time.
If you run out of uses of this feature, you can summon one bird back by spending a 2nd level spell slot instead.
The Bird of Prey can be ordered to take the Attack action to make one attack, using your spell attack modifier, to deal damage equal to 1d8 + your wisdom modifier magical piercing damage.
The Bird of Harmony can be ordered to use it's bonus action to take the Help action, or to use its bonus action to make a perception check.
The Bird of Mending is equipped with a number of vials that you create at the end of a long rest equal to double your proficiency bonus and half your wisdom modifier. It can be ordered to cure a creature within 5 feet of it by using one of those vial to heal for a number equal to 1d6 + your wisdom modifier.
You gain proficiency in animal handling, and have advantage on animal handling checks made to influence or work with beasts with a flying speed.
Feather Shot
When you take the attack action, you may choose to gain a bonus to all attack rolls made with that action equal to your Animal Handling skill bonus. You may use this feature once per long rest, then twice per long rest at level 15.
Birds of the same feather...
At 11th level, your affinity with the birds is such that you can now command up to two birds in battle as a bonus action, and summon both as a bonus action, instead of one, when you summon two birds this way, they count as though only one bird was summoned, and you can summon two of them using a 3rd level spell slot if you run out of uses to summon your birds.
The Bird of Prey's damage goes from 1d8 + your wisdom modifier to 2d8 + your wisdom modifier, and it can now make two attacks as part of its Attack action instead of one.
When the Bird of Harmony provides an ally with the help action on an attack roll, that attack benefits from a bonus equal to half your wisdom modifier
When within 10 feet of the Bird of Mending, allied creatures gain a bonus to their saving throws equal to half your wisdom modifier (rounded down)
Avian Master
At 15th level, you become one with the avians you fervently serve, such that wings sprout from your back, giving you a fly speed equal to your walking speed.
In addition to this, you may now command up to all three of your birds as a bonus action, and can now summon all three of them with your bonus action, when you summon your birds this way, they now last until the end of your next long rest. You can use this feature once and regain all expended uses at the end of a long rest.
