Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron is a magical being that has attached itself to your body, willingly or otherwise. It grants you magical power so that you may protect it, as it is currently unable to protect itself.

Most Parasite Warlocks have some form of physical mutation, be it appearing to have rotted flesh, crystals covering parts of their bodies, eyes where they do not belong or any number of other manifestations that represent the direct influence of their patrons.

Parasitic Growth

Starting at 1 level you can gain benefits from the parasite attached to your body as it grows, choose one of the following options, chosing another at levels 6, 10 and 14. Each option may be selected only once.

  • Your dominant hand becomes encased in a material your parasite creates, becoming a spellcasting focus and applying +1 to your spell attacks and damage rolls
  • You grow sharp claws, allowing you to make unarmed attacks using Strength or Dexterity, dealing 1d4 slashing damage on a successful hit.
  • Your torso is covered in some kind of protective shell, your unarmored AC becomes 12+dexterity bonus
  • Internal growths enhance your vitality, gain an additional hit die
  • Your legs are replaced, multiplied or simply enhanced, granting you 10 additional feet of movement and allowing you to disengage as a bonus action.
  • Your eyes are replaced or enhanced, allowing you to cast Detect Magic at will
  • Your very mind is touched by the parasite as it shares its wisdom with you, gain 1 additional Warlock spell slot, this additional spell slot is not regained during a short rest.

Symbiotic Protection

Starting at 6th level, when you would take damage except by Piercing, Slashing or Bludgeoning sources you may use your reaction and roll a hit die, reducing the damage by the number rolled+ your proficency modifier and become resistant to that damage type until you finish a long rest.

You may use this feature twice, regaining spent uses at the end of a long rest.

Symbiotic Form

Starting at 10 level you have resistance to Slashing, Piecing and Bludgeoning damage from nonmagical weapons.

Spreading Corruption

Starting at 14 level, you may use an action to make a melee spell attack against an adjacent target, on a hit the target becomes infected with a deadly parasite, dealing 2d10 Acid, Necrotic or Force damage (chosen at the moment of the attack) to them each turn. If they end their turn adjacent to an ally who does not have a parasite that ally must roll a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or become infected as well. If you are reduced to 0 HP or otherwise fall unconscious this feature ends.

You may use this feature once, regaining the ability to do so at the end of a long rest.
