Base Class: Monk
A monk who has no monastery to call their own so they hop around different monasteries, learning about ki and using their monk skills to protect and earn money on the street. Their ”monasteries” tend to be underground fight clubs or shady taverns.
Dirty Fighting
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you master the way of fighting dirty. When you hit a creature with one of your attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- You poke at the eyes of the creature. They must make a Dexterity saving throw or have disadvantage to all attacks until the end of your next turn.
- You kick at the legs and knees of the creature. The creature must make a Strength saving throw or have their movement halved until the end of your next turn.
- You hit the creature where it hurts. It must make a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone
Skull Cracker
At 6th level when you expend a ki to attempt to use Stunning Strike on a creature and hit, if there is a second creature within 5 feet of your target you can spend an additional ki point and attempt to stun that creature as well, no extra action required. Roll to see if you hit the second target and on hit you smash both their heads together, causing both of them to make a Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of your next turn.
Redirect Creature
At 11th level, if you are attacked by a creature and another creature is within 5 feet of you, you use your reaction to expend 2 ki points and move the adjacent creature so that it hits it instead.
Overchannel
At 17th level, you overchannel the ki in your body. As a bonus action you can overchannel your body by expending 5 ki points and gain the following abilities for 1 minute:
- Your attacks deal an extra martial arts die.
- You can use Flurry of Blows without needing to expend a ki point.
- Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
- When you make a melee attack against a creature, you don't provoke opportunity attacks from that creature for the rest of the turn, whether you hit or not.
When Overchannel ends, you suffer one level of exhaustion from the reckless way you’re using your ki.
